'A cash advance on your death': the strange, morbid world of Aids profiteering

the whole thing reeks of morbid capitalism 🤑👺. i mean, what's next? selling funeral services on a subscription model? it's like they're trying to extract every last penny from people's dying moments 😂. the fact that these intermediaries were profiting off people's mortality is just despicable. and don't even get me started on how the system was rigged against sicker folks, making them more likely to receive payouts... sounds like a recipe for exploitation 🤯.

anyway, i'm glad someone's shedding light on this dark corner of history. it's a harsh reminder that our society's priorities are usually skewed in favor of profit over people 💸👎.

🤕 just think about it, if you got diagnosed with a fatal disease like AIDS back in the 80s, the govt would be all like "sorry mate" and leave you to die 💔. but then some ppl started buying life ins policies on your grave... that's messed up 🤑. its like they're making money off ppl's suffering 😩. and the worst part is, those who got stuck with the bills were often the ones who needed help the most 👎. we should be ashamed of this dark chapter in our history 💔.
