Afghanistan says at least 10 killed in Pakistani airstrikes, mostly children

Pakistani Airstrikes Claim Lives of Afghan Civilians

At least ten people have lost their lives as a result of Pakistani airstrikes on neighboring Afghanistan, according to the Taliban government. The devastating attacks occurred in the Khost province, where nine children - five boys and four girls - and one woman were killed when a civilian resident's house was bombed.

The Pakistani military has remained silent about the raids, but the incident follows another suicide attack that targeted the headquarters of Pakistan's paramilitary Federal Constabulary force in Peshawar city. Three officers were killed in this attack, leaving 11 others wounded. The perpetrators behind both attacks have not been officially identified, although Afghan nationals are believed to be involved.

President Asif Zardari has lashed out at the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants operating from Afghan soil, blaming them for a recent suicide attack on Islamabad that killed 12 people. The Pakistani leader described the attackers as "foreign-backed", hinting at their connection with the Taliban in Afghanistan.

The airstrikes have further strained relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan, which have been tense since the Taliban's return to power in 2021. Deadly border clashes in October resulted in around 70 fatalities on both sides. While a ceasefire was brokered by Qatar and Turkey, talks in Istanbul failed to produce a lasting agreement due to disagreements over security issues.

Pakistan accuses the Taliban of providing shelter to militant groups like the TTP, which has waged a violent campaign against Pakistan for years. The Afghan government denies these allegations, claiming that Pakistan harbors hostile groups towards Afghanistan.

The crisis at the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan continues to worsen, with thousands of containers stuck due to trade restrictions. The economic burden is said to be "unbearable", with each container incurring $150-$200 daily charges.

omg like i cant even believe what's going on right now these airstrikes are literally just devastating and its not just the fact that ppl lost their lives but also the fact that these kids were killed including 9 minors 5 boys & 4 girls 🤕😭 they deserve so much better than to die in a bombing raid

and pakistan is just sitting here silent about it meanwhile president asif zardari is like "ok we blame the ttp" but honestly can't they do something more? like i get that tensions between pakistan and afghanistan are bad but this is just getting out of hand

i also cant help but think about those 11 other officers who were wounded in the peshawar city attack & the fact that the perpetrators havent been caught yet its all so frustrating 🤷‍♂️

🚨 This is getting outta hand... 10 civilians killed in airstrikes? That's just a bunch of dead lives lost over politics & grudges... Pakistan needs to stop playing games like this and start taking responsibility for its own actions 🤦‍♂️. And honestly, it's not like the Taliban isn't going to retaliate - we've seen that already with those border clashes in October... it's a never-ending cycle of violence & blame-shifting 💔.

Ugh man, this is so sad... 🤕 Pakistan airstrikes on Afghan civilians is just devastating news. Like what's going on? Can't they find a way to resolve their issues without killing innocent people? 10 lives lost including kids and a woman? That's heartbreaking. And now the border tensions are getting worse with trade restrictions, it's like no one is even trying to help these countries work out their problems 🤦‍♂️. I remember when Osama bin Laden was alive back in 2011, things seemed so different...

Man... these airstrikes are like a ripple effect, you know? One thing leads to another, and before you know it, innocent lives are lost. It's like we're all connected, but sometimes that connection just feels like a burden.

I mean, think about it - Pakistan and Afghanistan have been in this cycle of tension for years, and now it's escalating. The TTP guys, they're like a cancer, spreading their hate and violence wherever they go. But the thing is, we can't just point fingers without looking in the mirror too. We all gotta take responsibility for our actions.

And what about these civilians, right? They're not even fighters, but still they get caught in the crossfire. It's like, we gotta be more mindful of each other's humanity. Can't we just try to understand where the other person is coming from?

The border crisis is like a symptom of something deeper - our inability to communicate and work together. We need to find common ground, put aside our differences and talk it out. It's not that hard, but sometimes we gotta make an effort.

Anyway, it's all just another chapter in this never-ending story of conflict and bloodshed... 🤕

🤦‍♂️ Honestly can't believe this is still happening. Like, a decade ago we were all watching the news and thinking 'this can't happen here', but now it's just another day at the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. I mean, who needs that much drama in our lives? 🙄 The fact that civilians are getting caught in the crossfire is what really gets my goat - a house gets bombed and 10 people lose their lives... that's not some 'foreign-backed' attack, that's just a human error plain and simple. And yeah, it's all super convenient for Pakistan to point fingers at Afghanistan without taking responsibility themselves... 🙃

🤕 this whole situation is just getting outta hand... it's like these groups are fueling the fire on both sides, and innocent people are caught in the crossfire 😔. I mean, can't we all just talk to each other instead of resorting to airstrikes & suicide attacks? 🤷‍♂️

and have you seen the state of the border situation? it's like a war zone out there... thousands of containers stuck because of trade restrictions, and the economic burden is just crippling 🤑. what's the point of all this if we're not even getting anywhere with our talks?

i feel like we need to find a way to address these security issues without resorting to violence. maybe some kind of community-led initiative or something? who knows, but it can't be business as usual... 🤦‍♂️

this is just getting out of hand 🤕... airstrikes on Afghan civilians? it's like we're going back to the old days of proxy wars 😩. the fact that Pakistani military hasn't even acknowledged these attacks is not comforting. and now it's all about blaming the Taliban - what about Pakistan taking responsibility for its own security issues? 🤔

and have you seen the numbers? 10 civilians killed, mostly kids... it's just devastating 💔. can we please focus on finding a peaceful solution to this conflict rather than resorting to violence? 🙏

i'm not surprised by the border clashes and economic crisis - it's all connected. but what really gets me is that both countries are still using the same old tactics, trying to shift blame instead of working together 🤦‍♂️. let's hope someone comes forward with a new approach soon... or we might just see this conflict escalate even more 😬

🤕 this whole situation is just devastating I mean those 10 lives lost in the airstrike are a tragedy and then you got these border clashes that have been going on for months it's like how can two neighbors keep fighting like this? 💔 Pakistan & Afghanistan need to sit down and talk about what's really going on here. all these allegations of who's harboring militants & who's not is just making things worse. I feel so bad for the people caught in the middle 🤷‍♂️ we should be working towards peace, not more conflict 💖

Ugh, this is getting so out of control 🤯... I mean, think about it, Pakistan's airstrikes just killed all those innocent civilians, and now the situation at the border is a total mess 🚨... Like, what's going on? They're accusing the Taliban of providing shelter to militant groups, but isn't that just a fancy way of saying they can't control their own borders? 🤷‍♂️ It's like, you're not even trying to hide it anymore, Pakistan. Stop blaming others and take responsibility for your own security issues.

And now the trade restrictions are causing thousands of containers to get stuck at the border 🚮... I mean, can't they just negotiate with each other? The economic burden is supposed to be "unbearable", but isn't that just a fancy way of saying "we're not paying attention"? 😴 It's time for some real leadership from both sides. We need to see some compromise and a willingness to work together, not more blame-shifting and point-fingering.

By the way, did anyone else think it was weird that the Pakistani military just remained silent about these airstrikes? 🤔 I mean, shouldn't they be addressing this issue directly instead of just letting it slide? It's like, are they trying to avoid taking responsibility for their own actions or something?
