After hundreds of millions spent on players, what was Liverpool's plan? | Jonathan Wilson

🤔 think they were trying to create a squad that could compete with the likes of City & Chelsea... all these new signings are top players, but maybe they overthought it 🤑 wirtz is supposed to be this game changing creator, but he's just not adapting to the premier league pace 🏃‍♂️ and what about Salah? he's still that one player who can score a goal out of nowhere, but also leaves you exposed on defense 😬 maybe they were trying to create a team that could play both high pressing & long ball defending... yeah right 🔮

im not sure if slot was trying to create a sense of stability or just throw a bunch of players together and see what sticks 🤔💡 i mean think about it the team has been through so many changes in the past few years with Salah being the only constant player but even he's struggled at times. maybe they should have taken a different approach and built around their existing squad rather than trying to overhaul everything at once 🔥👍

Wow 🤯 that's a pretty interesting take on Liverpool's summer spending spree! I think they definitely bit off more than they could chew trying to overhaul the team with so many new signings and tactics. It's like they were trying to solve all their problems at once instead of focusing on one thing and doing it really well. Maybe next season they'll take a step back, regroup, and try a more balanced approach? 💡

I'm so confused with Liverpool's transfer strategy this season 🤔. They spent like £400m and now we're left wondering what they were trying to achieve in the first place 🤑. It's like they wanted to try out every tactic under the sun and see what sticks 🔪. Newsflash, guys: sometimes you gotta pick one thing to focus on instead of chasing after a million different ideas 💡. I mean, we all know they love Mohamed Salah, but his lack of defensive skills is a problem that needs addressing ASAP 🚨. And Florian Wirtz? Yeah, the £100m price tag was always gonna be a question mark 🤑. Maybe they were trying to create a 4-3-1-2 setup with Alexander Isak and Ekitike up top, but it's just too complicated 🔩. Anyway, I think their spending spree is a big reminder that sometimes less is more, financially speaking 💸.

I'm not sure if they really thought through the plan, ya know? 🤔 I mean, bringing in so many new players and trying to mix it up like that can be a recipe for disaster. It's hard enough to get one player settled, let alone four new ones all at once! 😅 And then you've got to consider Mohamed Salah, who's always going to be a bit of a wild card, defensively speaking. 🙄 The 4-3-1-2 setup idea sounds interesting, but it would've required some major tweaks to the team's overall strategy. I think they just got caught up in trying to be all things to all people and forgot that sometimes less is more 💸. Still, you can't deny that they're still a talented team, even if they are struggling to find their footing right now 🤞

I don’t usually comment but it seems like Liverpool took on too many challenges this summer 🤔🏆. They wanted a fresh perspective with new signings Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike, but instead they created more problems than solutions. It's like trying to fit three different puzzle pieces together that just don't quite fit 😂. And then there's Florian Wirtz, £100m plus add-ons? That's a lot of money for someone who struggles in the Premier League 🤯. I think they were so excited about their new signings that they lost sight of what was really important – finding a solid team dynamic 💪. It's gonna be interesting to see how this all plays out, but for now, it looks like Liverpool is trying to untangle themselves from some pretty tricky knots 😅.
