Americans don’t trust crowdfunding sites like GoFundMe. So, why do they keep giving?

I mean... who doesn't love throwing money at a problem without really knowing how it's being used? 🤑 It's not like we should be worried about lining the pockets of GoFundMe executives or anything. And let's be real, 9% effectiveness rate is pretty generous considering most people have zero idea what they're getting themselves into. I guess when you've got a need that desperate, you'll take whatever help comes your way... even if it means taking a few bucks out of the pot. 😐
 
I'm still not sold on these crowdfunding things... like 9% of people think they're effective? That's pretty low considering how much hype's around 'em. And those fees, man... it's just ridiculous that you gotta pay 5% to use the platform. What if I wanna help someone in need without taking out a second mortgage? 🤔

And don't even get me started on transparency... who really knows what's going on behind the scenes? The survey said over half of respondents doubted the fees, but what about the actual use of that money? Is it just a bunch of rich people lining their pockets or what?

I mean, I'm all for helping others in need, but is crowdfunding really the best way to do it? It's like, we're so caught up in this new-fangled tech stuff that sometimes we forget about good old-fashioned human kindness. 🤷‍♂️
 
I'm a bit worried about these fees on GoFundMe 🤑. I mean, 2.9% to 5% might not seem like much, but it adds up fast. If someone donates $100, they're paying $2.90 to $5 just for the platform's service fee. That's money that could've been going straight to the person in need 🤝.

And don't even get me started on the transparency thing 🤔. I mean, who knows where all this money is really going? It's easy to be skeptical when you see all these fees and not enough info about what's happening with the donations 💸.

But at the same time, I think crowdfunding can still be a lifesaver for people in crisis 😊. Medical expenses and funeral costs are huge burdens, and it's nice that there are platforms like GoFundMe to help out. Maybe we just need to find ways to make them more efficient and transparent? 🤝🏽💻
 
I'm so worried about these crowdfunding campaigns 🤕... I mean, I know they're meant to help people out when they need it most, but those fees are just ridiculous! 17.5% of donations went to tipping, not even to the family 😔. It's like, what's the point of having a platform if it's just gonna suck up all the money? 🤯

And don't even get me started on the lack of transparency 🚫... who knows where that money is really going? I feel for people who need help, but we gotta do better than this. Maybe there's a way to make crowdfunding more efficient, like some sort of regulation or something? 🤔

But at the end of the day, it's just so sad that we're even having this conversation 🤷‍♀️... shouldn't people be able to trust these platforms to help them in their time of need? I guess that's just the way it is nowadays 💸.
