I'm not buying the hype 
. Just because the cast was on point and the production was slick doesn't mean the opera house is out of the woods yet
. What about the underlying issues that led to ticket sales plummeting in the first place? It's like they just glossed over the problems instead of addressing them head-on
. And what about the future of concert operas in NYC? Are we just gonna keep throwing money at these productions hoping they'll magically come back to life 
? I'm not convinced
