Ukraine Holds Ground Despite Russian Intensified Efforts

Oleksandr Syrskyi, commander of Ukrainian Land Forces, has been vocal in dismissing Russian claims of capturing Bakhmut, stating that "the enemy is weakening and trying to cover up its failures with new fakes about the capture of Bakhmut." He emphasized that every soldier's actions on their section of the front are crucial for Ukraine's future counter-offensive.
Meanwhile, fighting continues to rage northwest and west of the city of Donetsk, as Russian forces continue their efforts to dislodge Ukrainian defenses in Avdiivka and Mariinka. Despite some losses on both sides, Ukrainian forces have managed to take control of certain positions in the area, according to Oleksii Dmytrashkivskyi, spokesperson for the military.
Pushilin, leader of the self-declared Donetsk People's Republic, disputes these claims, stating that Russian forces are still advancing in the Avdiivka direction. However, he also acknowledges that both sides face significant challenges due to difficult terrain and weather conditions.

45 enemy attacks repelled is a lot, but its still not enough I think. We're always hearing about Russia's efforts to take control of Bakhmut and Avdiivka, but they seem to be pushing hard without making any real progress

anyway, back to bakhmut... is it safe for ppl living there? like, can they even move around without getting caught in the crossfire?

I'm like 3 days late to this thread... anyway what's up with Bakhmut tho? The whole situation there is just so messed up. Both sides are taking heavy losses and it's not looking good for Ukraine 
They're holdin' strong despite the heavy fire, and I gotta give 'em props for that!
