Ariana Grande 'Beyond Devastated' to Miss Brazil 'Wicked: For Good' Premiere Due to Flight Delays

Ariana Grande Will Miss 'Wicked: For Good' Premiere Due to Flight Delays

Pop sensation Ariana Grande was set to kick off the global premiere tour of her film "Wicked: For Good" in São Paulo, Brazil last night, but an unexpected flight delay has forced her to miss the event. The 29-year-old singer and actress, who plays the lead role of Glinda in the movie, took to Instagram to express her disappointment and apologize for not being able to attend.

"I can't believe this is happening and I am beyond devastated to be sending this message," Grande wrote. "My team and Universal have tried every single thing possible to fix this... Even in attempting a private option, there is a permit necessary in order to fly from here that takes time to attain."

According to Grande's Instagram post, the flight delay was caused by maintenance reasons with the crew citing safety concerns, which delayed the plane until 11 am. By the time the flight took off, it was too late to make it to the premiere.

Grande will miss the premiere in Brazil but will make her first appearance on the tour in Paris on November 7. The rest of the cast, including Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey, will ensure that the show goes on in her absence.

Brazil's fans expressed their disappointment online, with some remarks pushing Grande to release a second statement. In response, she wrote: "Please don't wish danger on us... We did everything we could and I promise you no one is more upset than I am, I promise."

The singer reminded fans that her flight plans were not scheduled on a whim, and the arrangements had been made months in advance. She also expressed her disappointment at missing this moment, which she has been looking forward to for a year.

Grande concluded her statement by wishing the audience a beautiful and safe night, and expressing her love for Brazil. Despite missing the premiere, Grande is expected to make up for it on her upcoming tour schedule.

ugh I feel so bad for Ariana's fans in Brazil 🤕😔 they were all hyped to see her at the premiere and now she's gonna have to wait till Paris 😩 she's been promoting this movie for ages and this just isn't fair 💔 on top of that, it's a major production and I'm sure everyone was counting on her being there 🎬💫 anyway, I hope the rest of the cast can make it shine in her absence 👏

🤦‍♀️ Ugh I'm so sorry Ariana but flight delays are just part of life right now 🛫😩. I mean I can understand why she wouldn't wanna risk getting on a delayed plane especially when its gonna affect the whole premiere thing 🎬. And poor Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey gotta step in last minute too 😂. Like I get it, they had to make those arrangements months ago but things don't always go as planned 💥. So yeah, hopefully she makes up for it on her Paris leg 🤞

😩🚫 flight delays are literally the WORST 🤦‍♀️! I'm so bummed out that Ariana Grande had to miss the "Wicked: For Good" premiere in São Paulo, Brazil 😔. Can you imagine walking into a sold-out show and being like "oh no, we gotta cancel because of some flight delay"? 🚨 It's just not fair to her or the fans who were stoked to see her perform 💃.

I get that delays happen, but it seems like everything could've been done differently 👀. Like, didn't she have a private option? 😕 And what about all those months of planning and preparation? 🤯 It's just frustrating when things don't go as planned ⚠️. On the bright side, the rest of the cast is gonna step in and make it happen 💪! 🌟

Man I'm telling you this flight delay thingy is like politics, everything's gotta be so precise 🤯 Ariana Grande had all these plans set in motion months ago and now she's got nothing but delays and cancellations happening left and right... I mean what's up with that? It's not just her show she's gonna miss, it's the fans' excitement too! 😔 These people were looking forward to seeing her on stage for like a year already. And you know who's probably not happy about this? The team behind "Wicked: For Good". They're gotta deal with the consequences of poor planning and maintenance. I'm just saying, it's all about prioritization, is it? 🤔 Who was really running that flight, and what did they do to cause all these problems?

Ugh 🤦‍♀️... I was super stoked for Ariana Grande's movie "Wicked: For Good" premiere, but now I'm gonna have to wait till Paris 😔. Flight delays are so frustrating! Like, can't they just get the plane in the air already? 🚫 And poor Ariana, she's been looking forward to this event for ages and it gets cancelled because of maintenance issues... safety first, I guess 😊. On the bright side, her team is trying everything to make it work, so fingers crossed the rest of the tour goes smoothly 💕.

Flight delays are just one of those things that can happen, you know? 🤯 I feel bad for Ariana Grande, she was really looking forward to this premiere and now she's gonna miss it... but at the same time, 11 am flight delay is pretty common, right? 😂 And to be fair with her fans, she apologized and explained what happened. She didn't just take off without warning or anything. The thing is, sometimes these things happen beyond our control, we can't just change plans on a whim... so I guess you gotta feel bad for the poor girl who's been looking forward to this moment for ages 🤕

ugh that's so bummer 🤕, i mean, Ariana was all hyped for this tour and now she's gonna miss the premier because of flight delays? 😒 like, can't they just get the plane to arrive a lil earlier or somethin'? 😂 but seriously, at least she's makin' it up on her tour schedule 🎟️, paris is lookin good tho 🇫🇷

Ugh, seriously? Flight delays again? 🙄 I mean, I get it, safety first and all that, but can't they just, like, get the plane in the air already?! And why does she have to miss the premiere in Brazil when the whole thing was supposed to kick off her global tour?! 🤔 It's one thing to have a last-minute change of plans, but this is like, Ariana Grande we're talking about! She's got fans everywhere who are gonna be super disappointed. And what really gets me is that she's taking responsibility for it all and apologizing profusely on Instagram... good for her, I guess? 🙏 But still, can't a girl just get to the premiere without any drama?! 😩

Ugh man I was so hyped for Ariana's debut at Wicked: For Good premier last nite 🤕🎬... Flight delays are just a nightmare 😩 and not to mention she's been lookin forward to this 4eva 💖... Guess it's Paris next on the tour, can't wait to see her slay on stage again 💃🏽

Ugh man this is literally so frustrating 🤯! Like I know flight delays happen but come on Ariana's been looking forward to this moment for a year and now she's missing it? 😔 She was so hyped and the Brazilian fans were too... it's like, what even is going on here? 💸 I feel bad for her, obviously, but can't Universal just get the flight sorted out ASAP? 🚀 It's not like this is a one-off thing, she has months of promotional events ahead of her... this delay is gonna mess up her whole vibe 😬.

ugh that's soooo disappointing 🤦‍♀️😔, i mean i get flight delays but not on the eve of something major like a global premiere 🚫💨, and to be honest i'm a bit surprised she didn't try to charter a private jet or something 🛩️🤑, i know her team said they tried everything, but still... anyway, at least the rest of the cast is stepping up and making sure the show goes on 💪🎭, and i'm sure Ariana will make it up to us with the Paris stop 🇫🇷💕.

ugh i feel like such a buzzkill 🤦‍♀️... flying delays are literally the WORST 🚫😩 especially when you've been looking forward to this event for ages! 🎉 Ariana Grande is always so elegant and poised, but it's clear she's also human and can get just as frustrated as the rest of us 😤. i hope she gets her flight sorted ASAP and can perform in Paris on Nov 7 🕰️... and btw, can't we all just wish each other a safe and beautiful night instead of wishing bad things on each other? 💖🌃

Ugh, I'm so sorry Ariana Grande had to miss that premiere 🤕😔 She must be totally gutted - that's a huge deal for her and she's been looking forward to it forever 💖. Flight delays are just the worst, can't even control when they happen 🙄. And poor fans in Brazil, I feel bad for them too 🇧🇷. On the bright side, she'll make it up to them on tour, so fingers crossed that happens soon 😊. Hope her team gets everything sorted and flights are back on schedule ASAP 💨.

oh no 🤕 ariana grande was really looking forward to that premiere and now she's gonna have to miss it all because of flight delays 😩 i feel bad for her and the fans in brazil who were probably super excited to see her in person. but you know how these things go... planes don't always fly on schedule ⚙️ at least she'll get to perform in paris soon tho 🎭👏

😔 I feel bad for Ariana Grande, flight delays can be super frustrating! 🚫 I get that safety first, but now she's gonna miss the global premiere 🎥... what a bummer! 🤕 On the bright side, the rest of the cast is still gonna rock the show in São Paulo, and she'll catch up with Paris soon enough 💃. Brazil fans are being super understanding too, that's awesome 🙏. Hope everything gets back on track for Ariana soon, maybe a surprise performance at the next stop? 🎵

Flight delays can be super frustrating 🤯, especially when you've been looking forward to something for ages. Ariana Grande's situation is pretty crazy - I feel bad for her fans in Brazil who were all excited to see her. The safety concerns are probably the real concern here though, so glad that everyone prioritizes that 💡. It's not like she could just hop on a flight whenever she wanted, it seems like there were some legit logistical challenges 🚨. She'll make it up to them eventually, I'm sure - the tour schedule is in place for a reason after all ⏰. Anyway, glad Ariana is safe and sound, that's all that matters 😊.

Ugh, flight delays are just the worst 🤦‍♀️! I'm so sorry Ariana Grande that this happened to you, especially with a big event like the premiere of "Wicked: For Good". It's totally understandable that she was really looking forward to kicking off her tour in São Paulo and Brazil is such an amazing country. The fact that her team tried everything possible to fix it but couldn't makes me even more frustrated 😡.

I love how she's being so open and honest about what happened, though 🙏. It takes a big person to admit when they can't control something like this. And I'm glad to hear that the rest of the cast is going to make sure the show goes on in her absence - that's so cool!

It's also good to see how much passion and love Ariana has for Brazil and its fans 💕. She really cares about making it right with them, even though this delay was totally out of her control. Fingers crossed she makes up for it on tour soon 🤞
