'Armed queers don't get bashed': On its first anniversary, LGBTQ gun group in Pa. reflects on year of national turmoil

omg i cant even believe this is happening in america right now!!! 🤯 its like we need a reminder that equality means having access to the same basic human rights as everyone else, including the right to defend themselves. the pink pistols are literally saving lives here, and its amazing to see queer people taking matters into their own hands.

i love how kevin and lex are killing it with their gun training classes - its not just about shooting for fun (although i'm sure its enjoyable), its about being prepared for self-defense. and the fact that they met through these classes is just so beautiful. community is everything, you guys 💕

anyway, i think this is a huge step forward for lgbtq rights in america, and im so hyped to see more people getting involved with organizations like the pink pistols. we need more leaders like kevin and lex who are unapologetically themselves and fighting for their rights.

lets get ready to rise up and demand equality for all! 🎉💪

🤠💖 The whole "gun culture" thing in America is so wild, you know? Like, I'm all for people having the right to own guns for self-defense and whatnot, but this LGBTQ gun rights movement takes it to a whole new level 🤯. I mean, who wouldn't want to feel safe and empowered after dealing with hate crimes and intolerance? It's like, they're taking up arms (pun intended) not just to fight back, but also to redefine the narrative around being queer and vulnerable 😊.

And I love how the Pink Pistols are all about building community and inclusivity 🌈. It's not just about gun ownership, it's about creating a space where people can come together and support each other. Kevin and Lex's story is super inspiring - they went out of their way to find training classes that catered to their needs, and now they're helping others do the same 💪.

The Pink Pistols' message of empowerment and self-defense resonates so deeply 🌟. It's like, we don't have to be victims of hate crimes; we can take control of our own safety and well-being. And if that means owning guns or not, it's all about being able to live freely without fear 😊.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that this movement is giving me LIFE 💖!

Honestly, I'm not sure about this whole gun thing 🤔. I mean, I understand why some people in the LGBTQ community want to defend themselves, but guns are just so... violent 😬. And what's with the NRA affiliation? Can't we just focus on supporting each other without taking up arms? I guess that's just not how it works for a lot of people 🤷‍♂️.

I do like that the Pink Pistols are building a community and creating a sense of solidarity, though 👫. It's great to see queer gun owners coming together and supporting each other. And I agree with Lex about not letting hate crimes define us as a community – we need to rise above that and stand up for what's right 💪.

Still, I wish there was more discussion about the potential drawbacks of arming a group of people who are already marginalized 🤔. It's easy to get caught up in the desire for self-defense, but we have to consider the broader implications of this movement 🌎. We need to make sure that our actions aren't perpetuating systemic inequality or creating more problems than they solve 💥.

Oh, and can we please just create a separate forum thread for LGBTQ gun rights instead of hijacking the main one? My poor eyes can't take it anymore 😂👀

omg u can't make this up lol 🤯 a group of ppl who r being targeted by hate crimes are now getting armed & defending themselves it's like they're saying 'we won't be silenced' but at the same time its kinda scary that people feel the need to take matters into their own hands 💥 i get why ppl wanna defend themselves but doesn't this just make things more complicated?
