Arne Slot hit with Conor Bradley injury blow as he vows to go strong against Barnsley

Arne Slot will not make the same gamble with his team selection this FA Cup third round as he did last season when Liverpool faced Plymouth, but the absence of Conor Bradley due to a knee injury will undoubtedly cause him concern.

The 22-year-old right-back sustained an injury in Thursday's goalless draw against Arsenal and will have surgery in the coming days. He is likely to be ruled out for the rest of the season, a significant blow to Slot's team, which was already stretched.

Slot acknowledged that his decision to make 10 outfield changes for Liverpool's FA Cup exit at Home Park last season was a gamble that didn't pay off. However, he believes that this season is different and promises to field all the players who started against Arsenal, with possible substitutions during the game.

In contrast to Plymouth, Slot will not be tempted to rest senior players in favor of younger ones, given Liverpool's current position in the Premier League. The team has already suffered an exit from the Carabao Cup, and Slot is keen to avoid another injury blow by giving his players adequate rest.

Slot takes Barnsley seriously, having beaten them 1-0 at home in 2008, and acknowledges that they will be a tough opponent this time around. However, he maintains that Liverpool's squad is strong enough to compete against any team.

The latest injury setback for Bradley, who has struggled with fitness issues throughout his career, comes as Northern Ireland prepares to qualify for the World Cup via the playoffs. With the tournament just around the corner, Bradley's recovery will be crucial.

Hugo Ekitiké, who has missed Liverpool's last two games due to a hamstring problem, could potentially make an appearance against Barnsley, but it remains to be seen how Slot will line up his team on Monday.

Ugh 🤯 I'm literally shaking with rage thinking about Arne Slot and the fact that Conor Bradley is out for the season!!! 😩 How are we supposed to compete without our best right-back?!?! 🤦‍♂️ I mean, I get it, injuries happen but this feels like a cruel joke... especially now that Northern Ireland is on the line for the World Cup playoffs and Bradley's recovery will be so crucial 💔. And can you blame me if Arne Slot starts to feel like he's losing his mind?! 😅 First, we have to deal with the drama of our FA Cup exit last season (I'm still not over it 🤯) and now this... I just hope he finds a way to get us past Barnsley without too many more surprises 🔥. And what about Hugo Ekitiké's return from his hamstring issue?! Will we finally see him take the field on Monday?! Fingers crossed for me 💫

OMG, I'm so sure that Arne Slot is totally going to rest some of his senior players before the game against Barnsley... no wait, he said he won't do that because Liverpool needs all its players right now 🤔💪. But come on, with a tough opponent like Barnsley and the World Cup just around the corner for Bradley, I'm pretty sure Slot will want to keep his best players fresh and injury-free 😅. On the other hand, I'm also super sure that he'll definitely make some changes during the game if things aren't going well 🤷‍♂️.

This season is gonna be super intense for Liverpool! They've already dropped out of the Carabao Cup, so Arne Slot can't afford to lose any more players... like Conor Bradley, poor guy's gotta deal with another injury 🤕. 10 outfield changes in the FA Cup last season? That was a bit harsh, right? I think Slot learned his lesson this time around and will give the starters some rest too. But Barnsley is no joke! They've been around since '08 and beat Liverpool back then... this should be an interesting match 🏴️. Fingers crossed Bradley recovers in time for Northern Ireland's World Cup qualifiers, that guy needs all the help he can get right now 🌎

omg u guys can't believe what happened to conor bradley he's gonna miss the rest of the season 😱 i feel bad for him and northerneye, they need him now with the world cup qualifying in full swing. slot better have a good gameplan against barnsley or else lol, they did beat them 1-0 back in 2008 so u can never count out barnsley 🤯

man i feel bad for that young lad Conor Bradley 🤕 he was just getting back to form and now this injury sets him back even more...arne slot needs to balance giving the players rest with making sure they're competitive in the FA Cup, especially with barnsley being a tough opponent 🙅‍♂️

Ugh, this is like that one time when our fave footy team made those 10 changes and lost 🤦‍♂️. I get why Arne Slot doesn't wanna make the same mistake again though. With Conor Bradley out for the rest of the season, it's already gonna be tough for Liverpool. Hope Hugo Ekitiké can come back from his hamstring issue soon tho ⏰. Barnsley might give 'em a run for their money 😬.

Omg, this is so worrying for Liverpool 🙅‍♂️... like, Conor Bradley getting injured again? 🤕 His career has been all about fitness issues, it's like he's cursed or something 😂. I mean, Arne Slot saying they won't be making the same gamble as last season, good on him I guess... but what if it doesn't work out again? Like, will they just keep bringing in fresh players and hope for the best?

And Barnsley is a tough opponent too 🤔... like, they've beaten Liverpool before so we can't underestimate them. Hugo Ekitiké might be back from his hamstring injury, but I'm not sure if he'll make it against Barnsley 🤞... fingers crossed tho! ⚡

man this is gonna be tough for liverpool 🤕 arne slot gotta consider the fact that they already lost in the carabao cup last month and now conor bradley's out with a knee injury...but at the same time, i think he's got a point about resting his players before the world cup qualifying games start 🌟 northern ireland is on the edge of qualification here and this could be the push they need...i'm still gonna pick barnsley though 😅

Ugh 🤦‍♂️ I feel for Arne Slot, gotta deal with this injury drama 😩 and now Conor Bradley's out for the season... that's a huge blow to Liverpool's squad 💔. But, I gotta respect the guy's decision to stick to his guns and not rest his senior players like he did last time 🤝. The team's already taking hits in other competitions, so maybe this is a chance for them to regroup and come back stronger 🔄. Can't wait to see how Slot lines up against Barnsley on Monday ⚽️!

I'm still trying to catch up on the Liverpool vs Barnsley match lol 😂. So I was reading about Arne Slot and his thoughts on this one. I get what he's saying - no more experiments with his starting lineup, especially now that they're in the Premier League and can't afford to lose any more players.

But I'm not sure if I agree that Liverpool is strong enough to compete against Barnsley 😐. I mean, they did lose to Plymouth last season, so we can't count them out just yet. Plus, Slot's team has already lost in the Carabao Cup, so this one feels like a must-win for them.

I do hope Conor Bradley recovers quickly - that injury is a big blow to his career 🤕. And what about Hugo Ekitiké? Will he be fit enough to start against Barnsley? We'll just have to wait and see how Slot lines up his team on Monday 🤔

🤔 I think Arne Slot is being super smart by not making the same mistake again 🙏. I mean, last season's FA Cup exit was a major embarrassment for Liverpool and it's clear he learned from that experience 💪. By choosing to start all his players against Barnsley, Slot is showing that he's committed to giving them a fair chance to shine ⚽️. And with the Premier League schedule getting tougher by the minute, every injury blow is a big deal 😬. Fingers crossed Conor Bradley recovers in time for the World Cup 🤞 and not too much damage is done to Liverpool's squad 💥

man this is gonna be tough for Liverpool without conor bradley he's been struggling with injuries and now this... 😬 hope he recovers in time for the world cup qualifiers 🤞

Ugh, another injury setback for Conor Bradley 🤕... I mean, hope he recovers soon so Northern Ireland can focus on the World Cup playoffs! 😬 As for Liverpool, they really need some luck to overcome Barnsley this time around. Arne Slot's team selection is looking good, but I'm not convinced that they'll make it past the third round 🤔. Maybe we'll see some new faces on the pitch against Barnsley? 🎟️

I'm getting a bit worried about these injury setbacks for Liverpool 🤕. They're already dealing with some key players missing and now this news that Conor Bradley's out for the rest of the season is just brutal 😞. I mean, what's going on? It feels like they can't catch a break.

But you know what's even more worrying? The fact that Arne Slot's learning from his mistakes last season 🤓. Making 10 changes against Plymouth was definitely a risk and it didn't pay off, but I think he's taking the right approach this time around. Resting players won't be an option, at least not in the FA Cup.

It's still gonna be tough for Liverpool against Barnsley though 💔. They've got some quality players and you can't underestimate them. I'm hoping Hugo Ekitiké comes back soon because that's a big loss 😓. Northern Ireland is just around the corner, hope Bradley gets back fit in time... fingers crossed! 🤞

omg, this is like super frustrating for Liverpool fans, right? they're already struggling with injuries and now conor bradley's knee injury is gonna affect the squad big time 🤕. slot's approach is like a total 180 from last season tho, he's not gonna gamble with his team selection no more, gotta give all players who started the game some rest, you know? but at the same time, barnsley is like a tough opponent, i mean they beat them back in 2008, so slot's gotta be careful with his lineup 🤔. and bradley's recovery timing is super crucial for northern ireland's world cup hopes 🌎. fingers crossed he can get back on the pitch soon 👍

awww man, this is gonna be tough for Slot... losing Bradley already felt like a big blow, now with him out for the rest of the season, it's even more concerning 🤕. I can understand why he wouldn't wanna risk putting too many fresh players on the field, but at the same time, you feel bad for Bradley who's just trying to get back from an injury and also has this huge World Cup opportunity coming up 🌟. I hope Slot finds a good balance between resting his players and giving them enough time to perform well against Barnsley... fingers crossed for Liverpool 💪

🤔 this slot guy is really showing some growth as a manager... last season's gamble was a major failure, but now he seems more cautious and aware of the risks... hopefully conor bradley's injury doesn't derail their season too much 🤕 at least they'll have ekitiké back from his hamstring issue 👍

Omg 🤔 like I'm still thinking about that FA Cup exit last season... Arne Slot is totally right to learn from his mistake, but at the same time, I feel for him because he has a pretty tough decision ahead of him now 😬 Conor Bradley's injury is not good news, especially with World Cup qualifying just around the corner 🤕. I mean, Barnsley might be an easy win, but you never know what can happen in a cup match right? 😏 And what about Hugo Ekitiké making a comeback? Will he even make it onto the pitch? 🤞

🤔 so slot is sayin he wont be makin all them subs like last season against plymouth? i think its probly just a clever move, ppl thought he was out of touch back then, now hes gettin it right 👍 but lets not forget plymouth was a weak draw 4 him, barnsley on the other hand is lookin strong this season 🔥 and whats with all these injuries?? bradley's knee prob is bad news, and ekitiké's hamstring is killin me! 🤕
