Babson freshman deported while trying to fly home for Thanksgiving

OMG u can't even imagine how scary this is for Lucia, she was literally counting down to meet her fam on Thanksgiving 🤯 & now her whole life is getting messed with 🙅‍♂️ like what even is going on here? a 10 yr old deportation order out of the blue? 🕰️ it's just not right. I feel for her, she was trying to follow her dreams & start a new life in a new country, but instead she gets stuck back home with no future 🤦‍♀️. this case is like, super disturbing, there gotta be some serious accountability here 👮‍♂️

😱 This is just heartbreaking, I'm literally shaking right now thinking about Lucia's situation 🤕. The fact that she had no idea her deportation order was still active and the government knew it too, but chose to act anyway, is absolutely infuriating 😡. It's like they're playing a game of immigration roulette, where someone's entire life can be turned upside down in an instant 💔.

And what really gets me is that Lucia was just trying to surprise her family on Thanksgiving 🦃, which is one of the most special holidays of all. Now she's stuck in Honduras with no college dreams to pursue and a future that's been derailed 🤯. It's heartbreaking to think about what could've been if the system had worked properly.

The whole situation highlights just how broken our immigration system is 🚧, especially when it comes to young people like Lucia who are already struggling to adjust to life in a new country 🌎. We need systemic changes that prioritize clarity, transparency, and fairness, not just vague promises of "immigration reform" 🤷‍♂️. It's time for us as a society to take a closer look at how we're treating these individuals and consider their humanity ❤️.
