Bath 63-10 Edinburgh: Hosts seal home last-16 Investec Champions Cup game

Bath Seals Home Last-16 Tie in Investec Champions Cup with Thrashing of Edinburgh

A nine try thrashing by Bath at home to Edinburgh in the Investec Champions Cup, sealed a home last-16 tie for Johann van Graan's side. The English champions, who are now top of Pool 2, will host their quarter-final if they progress past the knockout stage.

Bath dominated from start to finish, scoring nine tries, while Edinburgh were left with just one score. Centre Piers O'Conor scored the visitors' only try in a game where Bath's backline proved too much for the Scottish side.

The dominant front-row trio of Thomas du Toit, Beno Obano and Tom Dunn all crossed in the first half, helping to win a scrum penalty try. The Bath forwards also helped to turn over possession several times, allowing their backs to attack.

Bath's backline was equally impressive with tries from Joe Cokanasiga, who scored twice, as well as Ben Spencer and Henry Arundell. Max Ojomoh's handling skills were instrumental in setting up two of Cokanasiga's scores.

Bath sealed top spot in Pool 2 by going five points clear at the end of this game. The result also means they will host their quarter-final if they progress past the last-16 stage, providing them with home advantage over whichever side they face next.

Bath manager Johann van Graan spoke about his satisfaction with the team's performance, saying that he and his squad were hungry for a win against Edinburgh in order to secure a home knockout game.

OMG 🀯 just saw this match between Bath and Edinburgh in the Investec Champions Cup and it was absolute madness!!! πŸ˜‚ I mean, 9 tries for Bath is crazy! Their backline was on fire πŸ”₯ with Joe Cokanasiga scoring twice πŸŽ‰ and Ben Spencer getting in on the action too. And can we talk about Max Ojomoh's handling skills? πŸ’― he set up like 2 of Cokanasiga's scores and it was pure magic.

I love that Bath got to secure a home last-16 tie and now they'll host their quarter-final if they make it past the next round 🏠πŸ’ͺ. It's gonna be a tough game for whoever they face, but I'm sure Johann van Graan's squad will be ready πŸ’β€β™‚οΈ. This is shaping up to be an epic tournament! πŸ”₯

omg did u see this match lol edinburgh got smashed by bath 9 tries!!! i was watching it live and it was insane! joe cokanasiga scored like two tries already and bath's backline was on fire max ojomoh's handling skills are literally the best πŸ€―πŸ‰ they sealed top spot in pool 2 now and will host their quarter-final at home, what a dream come true for them 😊 bth manager johan van graan seems so stoked too, i cant blame him 😁

😊 just saw this news about Bath beating Edinburgh 9-1 in the Investec Champions Cup, what a thrashing 🀯! Can't deny Johann van Graan's team did an awesome job, outplayed and outscored Edinburgh from start to finish ⚽️. That backline of theirs is pure magic ✨, with Joe Cokanasiga scoring twice and Ben Spencer and Henry Arundell getting in on the action too πŸ€Έβ€β™‚οΈ. Their forwards were solid too, helping to secure those tries in the first half πŸ”₯. OMG 🀯 what a thrashing!! Bath absolutely annihilated Edinburgh at home! I mean, 9 tries is insane πŸ˜‚. Those Bath backs are on fire πŸ”₯! Cokanasiga's double was the highlight of the game for me πŸ’ͺ. How did Edinburgh even cope with that onslaught? πŸ€” Their only try from O'Conor just didn't cut it πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ. But hey, at least they got a decent result and can now look forward to their last-16 tie... fingers crossed they don't get Bath again 😳. This top spot in Pool 2 is well-deserved for the Chavs πŸ’š!

awww yayyyyyy πŸŽ‰πŸ‘ bath is on fire right now!!! 9 tries is insane! joe kokanasiga is like a superstar winger lol 🀩 can't wait to see them take on whoever they face next at home πŸ˜† max ojomoh's handling skills are everything πŸ’― gotta give a shoutout to the entire team for an amazing performance πŸ’ͺ

πŸ‰πŸ’ͺ So Bath totally destroyed Edinburgh at home in this Investec Champions Cup match! 🀯 I mean, 9 tries is insane, it's like their backline was unstoppable πŸš€. They just kept pushing forward and exploiting the Scottish side's defense. Their front row did a great job too, creating scrum penalties and turning over possession to get them some easy tries 😊.

I think Johann van Graan must be super proud of his team's performance, all that hunger for a win really paid off πŸ™Œ. Now they're top of Pool 2 and will host their quarter-final if they make it past the last-16 stage, that's amazing! πŸŽ‰

omg i'm dyin over bath's performance today!!!! their backline is literally unstoppable πŸ€―πŸ‰πŸ”₯ joe kokanasiga's tries were insane!!! ben spencer and henry arundell tooooo 😍 i was on the edge of my seat the whole game, i loved how they worked together as a team πŸ’• Johann van graan's got it right, this is exactly what we needed to secure that home knock out game πŸŽ‰πŸ† let's go bath, can't wait for the next match πŸ‘Š

omg did u see dat 9 try thrashing from bath πŸ˜±πŸ‰!! i mean, edinburgh had only 1 try and bath just dominated them. the way bath's backline played was so impressive 🀩! joe cokanasiga scored twice and his partner ben spencer got one too πŸ™Œ. i think max ojomoh's handling skills were super clutch in setting up those scores πŸ‘. can't wait to see what happens next for bath in the tournament πŸ€”πŸ†

omg what a thrashing 🀯 bath completely dominated edinburgh from start to finish and their backline was on fire πŸ”₯ joe cokanasiga scored TWO tries which is insane! 🀯 max ojomoh's handling skills were also super crucial in setting up those tries. edinburgh just couldn't keep up with the bath forwards, they were everywhere πŸ’ͺ beno obano, thomas du toit and tom dunn were a nightmare for the scottish side. anyway, bath is now top of pool 2 and will host their quarter-final at home, that's amazing 😎 can't wait to see what happens next!

Lmao what's up with these rugby teams tho? Bath just thrashed Edinburgh 9-1... like that's how it works! "Hey, I'm gonna score all the tries, you can just try not to" 🀣 Anyway, congrats to Bath for dominating and getting home advantage in the quarter finals. Johann van Graan must be super proud of his team (and probably also relieved they didn't get injured too badly). Can't wait to see how they do next! πŸ˜‚

OMG this is so unfair on Edinburgh 🀣 they got thrashed 9-1! πŸ˜‚ i was watching the game with my mates and we couldn't believe how bad Edinburgh were πŸ™„ bath's backline was insane tho!!! Joe Cokanasiga scored two tries and it was like he was unstoppable πŸ’₯

I'm telling you, Bath was way too dominant out there 🀯... I mean, 9 tries is crazy! But what really gets me is how easy it looked for them. They just seemed to click into gear and Edinburgh were left with nothing πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ. And don't even get me started on the Scottish side's only try - Piers O'Conor scores an own try while trying to score against him? πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ... anyway, I'm not surprised Bath are top of Pool 2 now πŸ‘Œ, but it'll be interesting to see if they can replicate that kind of form in the next round πŸ’ͺ.

Ugh πŸ€• just when you think rugby is all about good vibes, Bath seals their spot in the quarter finals by absolutely thrashing Edinburgh 😩 9 tries vs 1 try lol what even is that? πŸ˜‚ meanwhile Johann van Graan's team is on cloud nine πŸ‘Œ but honestly, it's not like they're gonna win or anything... they'll just face another tough opponent and hopefully pull through 🀞

omg i cant believe bath got thrashed like that lol πŸ˜‚πŸ‰ but seriously its great to see them crush edinburgh and take top spot in pool 2! the tries from joe cokanasiga were insane 🀯 he's literally unstoppable on the pitch. and johann van graan's reaction was so satisfying to watch, like he knew his team was gonna bring home the win all along πŸ‘ the fact they got a home last-16 tie is gonna give them an edge in the knockout stage too...fingers crossed for bath! 🀞

I gotta say, Bath totally smashed it against Edinburgh 🀯! I mean, 9 tries is just insane! Their backline was on fire, and Edinburgh just couldn't keep up πŸ˜…. It's no wonder they're top of Pool 2 now. But, you know, a home quarter-final is still a big ask... if they can get past the next round πŸ€”. Can't help but feel a bit nervous for them though πŸ™ƒ. Still, it's all positives from Bath - their squad is looking strong and hungry for wins πŸ’ͺ. And Johann van Graan seems to be doing a great job as manager 😊. Bring on the quarter-final! ⚽️

OMG, what a game 🀯! I mean, Bath totally destroyed Edinburgh at home 🏠πŸ’₯! 9 tries is crazy! Joe Cokanasiga's speed was insane 😲πŸ”₯ and Max Ojomoh's handling skills were key in setting up those scores πŸ‘. The front row trio of du Toit, Obano, and Dunn was unstoppable πŸ’ͺ. It's amazing how Bath's backline just clicked today 🀝. Johann van Graan must be thrilled with the performance πŸ™Œ. Now they're top of Pool 2 and will host their quarter-final if they make it past last-16 πŸ†πŸ‘! Fingers crossed they can bring home that trophy πŸ’•!
