Bears QB Caleb Williams forces overtime with 'ridiculous' pass but throws 3 interceptions as Rams win 20-17

Bears' Caleb Williams Shows He's the Real Deal with Magical Pass, but Can't Overcome Mistakes.

Caleb Williams has finally solved one of the Bears’ most maddening problems - finding a quarterback capable of heroics few in the NFL can match. In a divisional-round playoff game against the Rams, Williams threw an unforgettable touchdown pass to force overtime. However, his impressive display was marred by three interceptions that led to the Rams' 20-17 victory.

The Bears' loss marks the end of their dream season and leaves them with little time to reflect on what went wrong. The team's focus shifts now to building themselves into a championship contender in the offseason.

Williams, who had been magical all season, was under pressure immediately after scrambling backward to keep his team alive. He then heaved the ball to tight end Cole Kmet, who was wide open in the back left corner as defensive backs Cobie Durant and Quentin Lake trailed. The pass was deemed 'ridiculous' by coach Ben Johnson, with him saying it's something you can't coach.

Although Williams struggled for most of the game, he surged late and had a chance to win it after forcing the Rams to punt on the first possession of overtime. However, his throw was short and picked off by Kamren Curl.

Despite the loss, Williams showed that he has what it takes to be a top quarterback in the league. The Bears have solidified their coach-quarterback pairing with Ben Johnson at the helm and Caleb Williams as the talented quarterback. This duo has the potential to take the team to new heights.

The most important thing the Bears did this season was finding their rhythm between Johnson and Williams, which looks set to be a key factor for their success in the future.

I'm so down on Williams right now 🤕, like he's gotta step up his game if they wanna make it to the championship next year. I mean, three ints is way too many, even with all that magic he showed earlier... what was he thinking?! 😂 But at the same time, he did show some serious skills out there, and that pass to Kmet? Ridiculous indeed! Coach Johnson was right on the money about that one 😎. I'm still hyped about this duo, though - Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams are like two peas in a pod 🌱... but they gotta work on their consistency, you know? And can't have those short throws turning into pick-6s 💔!

I don’t usually comment but... I'm really impressed with Caleb Williams' skills on the field 🤯🏈! He's got that special something that can take his team to victory in no time 💪. The way he dodged defenders and threw that long pass to Cole Kmet was insane 😲! But, you know, it's not all sunshine and rainbows for him... he made some pretty rookie mistakes out there 🤦‍♂️. Still, I think the Bears have found their QB in Williams and their coach in Ben Johnson - they're a solid duo 👫🏈! The key now is to build on that momentum and take it all the way in the playoffs 🏆... fingers crossed for them next season! 😅

omg I'm still hyped about that crazy game 🤯! Caleb Williams is literally insane on the field 🤯 I mean, who else can make a pass like that and then not do it again when it matters most? 😩 But for real though, the Bears' loss stings, but I think they made some great progress this season. Building off that chemistry between Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams is gonna be KEY 🔑 especially with them heading into the offseason. Can't wait to see what they do next! 🤔

🐻💡 I mean, Caleb Williams is defo the real deal! He's got that magic touch, but like, he also showed us what can go wrong when you're under so much pressure 🤯. The Rams' defense was on point and they were able to capitalize on those mistakes. Still, it's awesome to see how far this team has come with Ben Johnson at the helm - that coach-quarterback combo is looking 🔥👊! And yeah, finding their rhythm was super important for them, so I'm excited to see what next season brings 😁

I'm so hyped about Caleb Williams' performance this season 🤩! I mean, that one touchdown pass was straight fire 🔥! He's got the magic, no doubt about it. But, at the same time, you can't just gloss over those 3 interceptions 😳. It's like he had a bit of an off game, but still managed to carry his team to victory.

I love how coach Ben Johnson is raving about Williams' abilities - it's clear they've got a special connection 🤝. And I think the key to their success is finding that rhythm between them. Once they nail that down, watch out! The Bears could be unstoppable 🔥💪. Can't wait to see what next season brings 🎉

I'm not sure if I'm sold on Caleb Williams being "the real deal" just yet 🤔. Don't get me wrong, that magical pass he threw was insane! 😲 But three interceptions? That's still a pretty big concern. And what really got me thinking is how some of those mistakes could've been avoided with a bit more pre-snap preparation and audible adjustments from Ben Johnson.

And can we talk about how short his throw was in OT? 🤦‍♂️ I mean, I know it's easy to say "just get rid of the ball" but there's more to it than that. Still, Williams showed some incredible flashes throughout the season, and with some tweaks to their gameplan, this duo might just be a force to be reckoned with next year 🤞.

I don’t usually comment but I think Caleb Williams is gonna be a top QB in the league for sure 🤩. His ability to make those crazy plays under pressure is insane. The fact that he can throw like that and still have room for improvement is super impressive. The issue was just the three picks, which you can't ignore. But if they work on building his confidence and reducing those mistakes, I think this duo of Johnson and Williams could be unstoppable 🔥💪. They need to build on the chemistry they've got now and make some savvy offseason moves to get to the top 📈.

I'm still hyped about that crazy pass by Williams 😂👏. I mean, it's one thing to throw a touchdown in the playoffs but forcing OT? That's next level stuff! 🤯 And yeah, he had some major mistakes too, but c'mon, you can't expect perfection from a QB with this much pressure on him 💪. The Bears are gonna be fine, they've got a solid foundation going on and Williams is the real deal 🔥. Can't wait to see what they do in the offseason 🤔

🤔 I'm still on the edge of my seat after watching that game 😱. Caleb Williams is defo one of the most exciting QBs in the league right now 🚀! He showed off his magic with that sick pass to Cole Kmet, and it's clear he's got what it takes to be a top dog 💪.

But at the same time, those three interceptions were super frustrating 😩. You can't win games if you're throwing picks left and right. It's all about finding that balance between heroics and mistakes 🤦‍♂️.

What I love about Ben Johnson is he's not afraid to say what needs to be said 👊. That "ridiculous" pass was something special, but it's also something you can't coach 😂. The fact that they were able to work through their issues and find a rhythm is huge for the team's future 💯.

I'm already hyped for next season 🎉! With Williams and Johnson at the helm, the Bears have got the potential to go all the way 🏆. Fingers crossed they can build on this momentum and bring home that championship 🤞

OMG 🤯 like seriously Caleb Williams is HAMMERING it on the field right now! 😲 He's so clutch and can pull off crazy plays like that one TD pass in the divisional round game. But at the same time, he's also got some major room for growth - those 3 picks were just brutal 🤕. Still, I think he's proven himself to be a top-tier QB and Ben Johnson is getting it right as his coach 👏. The most important thing they did this season was find their chemistry and now they're building towards something big 🔥!

I'm still trying to wrap my head around that crazy playoff game 🤯. Caleb Williams is literally a magician out there on the field! But at the same time, he's also super human...ly prone to mistakes 😳. I mean, three interceptions in one game? That's just crazy talk! The Bears are gonna have to regroup and work some magic of their own this offseason to turn those mistakes into wins 💪.

I'm loving the chemistry between Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams though 🤝. They're like two peas in a pod out there, with Williams making plays left and right 🔥. And I agree, finding that rhythm was key for the Bears this season - now let's see if they can build on it 💫. One thing's for sure: I'm excited to see what this duo has in store for next season! 🎉

OMG u guys 🤯 I'm literally still reeling from that game last night Caleb Williams is MIND BLOWN 💥 his ability to make those impossible plays is just insane!!! the pass he threw to Cole Kmet was literally ridiculous 😂 I mean, who else can say they've got a coach as hyped on their arm as Ben Johnson is 🤣 but seriously though, that play showcased Williams' greatness and it's clear why people are saying he's the real deal 💯

but, ugh, his mistakes killed them in the end 😭 like, I get it, interceptions happen, but 3?!?! 🙄 it's frustrating to watch because we all know he's got this level of talent. BUT, at the same time, I'm kinda relieved that they lost? like, if they'd won, it would've been even more heartbreaking watching them give up that late lead 💔

anywayz, on a positive note... I'm so hyped for next season!!! with Williams and Coach Johnson on board, this team's gonna be UNSTOPPABLE 🔥🏈

I'm still trying to wrap my head around that crazy game! I mean, Caleb Williams is literally a magician out there, but at the same time, he's also super fragile 🤯. Like, one minute you're seeing this insane touchdown pass and the next he's throwing an interception and it's all over 😬. I don't know how they can build on that inconsistency. And coach Ben Johnson is right, that last throw was ridiculous 🤦‍♂️. But for real though, Williams has some serious skills and if he can just work on his decision-making, the Bears could be unstoppable 💪. The chemistry between Johnson and Williams is already there, now they just gotta keep building on it 🔒.

idk about this QB situation yet... i mean caleb williams is def got skills but can he stay consistent? 3 ints in one game is a lot even if he did throw that sick touchdown pass 🤯. and what's up with ben johnson's coaching? it seems like he's just letting wiliams make all the plays without much guidance. not saying its bad or anything, but i want to see how they balance that 'coach-player' relationship in the offseason...

omg what a game 🤯 i'm still trying to process how caleb williams can be so clutch one minute and then throw 3 picks lol idk what's going through his head but he showed us that he's got it! the pass to cole kmet was insane 😲 coach ben johnson said it's something you cant coach, but i think its all about trust between the QB and his teammates now that they've figured out their rhythm 🤝 can't wait for next season

I'm so done with those third-quarter jitters from Caleb Williams 🤯. Like, he's got the magic touch, but his accuracy is all over the place. Three picks in one game? That's just not gonna cut it if they wanna make a deep playoff run 💔. On the other hand, that last-minute pass to Cole Kmet was absolute perfection 🔥. I'm loving the chemistry between Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams tho - their dynamic is what sets them apart from other QB coaching combos 🤝. Still think with some tweaks in the offseason, they can be an unstoppable force 💪

I don’t usually comment but I think Caleb Williams is defo one of the most exciting QBs in the league rn 🤯🏈. Like, that one pass he threw to Cole Kmet was insane! He's got so much potential and the chemistry between him and coach Ben Johnson is solid 🔒👍. Sure, he made some mistakes but that's all part of the game, right? What I'm looking forward to seeing this offseason is how they build on their success and become a real contender for a championship 🏆💪

🤔 I think that's what makes Williams so special, he's got this crazy calm and focus when he's on the field, but then you see him freak out with those 3 picks... 🙈 Like, I get it, it's a lot of pressure, but 3 ints is a lot to swallow. Still, his ability to make plays like that one touchdown pass is insane, I mean who else can say they've done something 'ridiculous' and still get the win? 🤯 The thing that really gets me though is how well Johnson and Williams mesh together, it's like they're in sync or something. If they can keep that chemistry going, we might see some crazy stuff from them next season... 💥

🤔 that 3 pick6's is wild but u gotta feel for the guy he came so close tho 🙄 what was he thinking on those throws though? still super impressed by his clutch pass tho 👏
