Becky Zerlentes - the first female boxer to die in fight in US

omg I cant believe what's happening to these athletes 🤕 their careers are literally being shortened because of something that should've been prevented from the start... like we're still using helmets in rugby but not really making sure they're fitted properly or checked regularly? it's so frustrating. and its not just about the boxers, I feel bad for Amy Lavelle too, she's got to deal with this all because of her relationship with Davey 🤕

anyway, I think schools should be talking more about this stuff... like, we learn about brain health in phys ed but what about CTE? it's not exactly something you can just Google and find info on, but still... education is key, right? we need to make sure kids know the risks so they can make informed decisions about their own sports careers. 🤓

I was just thinking about my grandma's old recipe for homemade chocolate chip cookies 🍪👵... she used to make them for my brother's school bake sales all the time. anyway, back to this article... I'm not saying that I don't think these sports are too rough or anything, but have you ever noticed how some movies and shows always exaggerate the injuries in sports? like, is it really that common for boxers to end up like Davey Browne Jr.? 🤔🥊
