You know I'm gonna take this violin concertos album in a different direction . It got me thinking, Richard Tognetti's approach to music is kinda like a reflection of our country's diversity, all modern and innovative on one hand, and traditional on the other . Like, you've got these two concerto works from Beethoven and Brahms, both considered classics, but they're performed in different ways, just like how Australia's got its own unique vibe going on. And I think that's what makes this album so special, it's not just about the music itself, but also about the story behind it .
I'm loving this new violin concerto album by the Australian Chamber Orchestra ! Richard Tognetti is pure genius when it comes to conducting these pieces, especially the Beethoven concerto - that 27-minute first movement is absolute magic ! I know some people might find his approach a bit unconventional, but I think it's what makes this album so special. The way he blends modern techniques with historical instruments creates this incredible sound that draws you in and refuses to let go . And the woodwind solos in the Brahms concerto? Absolutely stunning! The ACO really knows how to bring out the best in these concertos, making this album an absolute must-listen for any music fan
omg cant believe its been 50 yrs since the aco was founded!! Richard Tognetti is literally a genius with the violin concerto album, especially the beethoven one it's so unique but also super compelling i love how he mixed things up & prioritized urgency over usual lyricism but on the flip side the brahms concerto sounds pretty standard compared to other versions out there still a must-listen tho cuz its gotta represent the acos 50 yrs of awesomeness
man... I love how this album comes out at such an iconic moment in the ACO's history it's like they're taking all their experience and expertise to create something truly special. for me, it's a reminder that with age comes wisdom & sometimes you gotta know when to push boundaries (like Tognetti did) vs go for more traditional routes but honestly what I'm most proud of is how the ACO has managed to stay true to their sound over the years - it's like they're saying "hey, we've got this!"
