Beyond Labubu: China Consumer Spending On Services Is On The Rise

omg I just got back from singapore πŸ—ΊοΈ and I'm like totally obsessed with the food there πŸœπŸ‘Œ anyway back to china... so i read this thing about how chinese consumers are spending more on services like travel and entertainment and stuff πŸ“Š it's kinda cool because i've been hearing that for ages but never really thought it would make a difference πŸ€” like what's going to change? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

I don't usually comment but I think it's kinda cool how China is shifting towards service-based spending πŸ€”. Like, the government is actively promoting culture and heritage tourism and stuff, which is awesome for the country's development. But at the same time, I'm a bit concerned about the environmental impact of all these new developments 🌳. I mean, Merlin Entertainments' Legoland Shanghai Resort is getting a lot of attention, but what about the carbon footprint of all those visitors? And what about the impact on local communities and infrastructure? I don't think Western companies should be too quick to jump in without considering the long-term effects πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. Still, it's an interesting development and I'm curious to see how China continues to grow its service-based economy πŸ’Έ.

this is crazy, china's service based spending is like the new wild west out here, western firms are cashing in left and right, think legoland shanghai resort, disney etc... but at the same time its all good or bad depending on how you look at it πŸ€―πŸ€‘

I think it's awesome how Chinese consumers are shifting their focus from buying physical stuff to experiences like travel and entertainment πŸŒπŸ’°. The government is really encouraging this shift with initiatives like promoting culture and heritage, media, and sports events. It's interesting that most passengers on flights in China are under 30 and traveling to visit friends or relatives, museums, landmarks, or concerts - that's some serious FOMO πŸ˜‚! Western companies are definitely benefiting from this trend, but it's also worth noting the importance of sustainable consumption. I mean, who doesn't want to travel and enjoy themselves without sacrificing the planet πŸŒŽπŸ’š?

πŸ€” I think its kinda cool how western firms are getting in on the action with all these new resorts and theme parks 🏰🎒. Like, who wouldn't want to visit Legoland Shanghai or go to Shanghai Disney Report? The fact that most passengers on flights are young folks traveling for experiences over material goods is pretty awesome too 🀩. Plus, its not like they're just gonna blow all their savings in one go, there's good quality stuff out there too 😊. I mean, we should be supporting these types of businesses and encouraging more service-based spending instead of just buying into some old consumerist model that prioritizes profit over the planet πŸŒŽπŸ‘
