I'm loving this resurgence from Biffy Clyro - 30 years in and still bringing the house down! Their latest show is a testament to their ability to evolve while staying true to their roots . That new album Futique has definitely given them some fresh energy, but it's clear they're still drawing inspiration from their heroes - Bowie, Iggy Pop, and Nick Cave. What's impressive is how they've managed to blend those influences with their own unique sound. The crowd was electric last night, singing along to every word of "Bubbles" and "Many of Horror". I love how Simon Neil's vocals brought out the emotion in songs like Friendshipping - it's so beautiful .
I also appreciate how they balanced old and new material - it was great to see dual violins on tracks like That Golden Rule. The band's chemistry is undeniable, and their passion is infectious. Even when things felt a bit repetitive towards the end, the energy of the crowd kept them going. All in all, this show was a triumphant renewal for Biffy Clyro - they're back and better than ever !
