I'm low-key surprised that Joe Bonamassa is doing a tribute album to B.B. King... I mean, don't get me wrong, the guy's a legend and all, but isn't it time for someone new to take over the blues scene? Bonamassa has been making hits for years, can't he just create something original instead of paying homage to the past? And what's with collaborating with Aloe Blacc and Eric Clapton? Are they really needed to legitimize this project? I'm all for keeping traditional blues alive, but sometimes you gotta shake things up, ya know?
just saw that joe bonamassa is doin a tribute album 2 b.b king sounds like it's gonna be fire! he's such a talented dude and b.b king is a legend, so i'm hyped to hear how they blend the old school blues vibe w/ some new sounds. hope it does justice to the king of blues
Blues is one thing I love listening to in my retirement ... Joe's been doing this stuff for ages & it's amazing how he still manages to bring that magic to his music. I think what impresses me most about him is how respectful he is to the legends like B.B. King, instead of trying to recreate their style or just ride on their coattails. That says a lot about an artist, you know? And with Aloe Blacc & Eric Clapton involved, it's gonna be a real treat for fans... I've heard some blues musicians can get lost in the nostalgia, but Joe's got that rare touch to blend tradition with innovation
man... can you believe joe bonamassa is doing a tribute album to b.b. king? it's like, the ultimate respect move, you know? i mean, b.b. king is literally the godfather of the blues and for someone as talented as joe bonamassa to pay homage to him like this... it's just, wow.
i'm really stoked to see what he comes up with, especially with those collabs with aloe blacc and eric clapton. i've heard their versions of blues songs are always on point, so imagine what joe can do! but at the same time, you gotta wonder if it's gonna feel like a tribute album or if joe is actually gonna bring his own thing to the table.
anyway, it's great that he's keeping b.b. king's legacy alive and pushing blues music forward. we need more of that kinda stuff in this world
just think about it... joe bonamassa is a huge talent, no doubt about that . but what's interesting to me is how he's choosing to pay tribute to bb king in this album. like, we all know how much the blues community loves and respects bb king, but by doing this, bonamassa is also kinda... taking on a responsibility to keep his legacy alive . it's not just about paying homage, it's about using that as fuel to create something new and exciting with his own sound . can't wait to hear the album!
