Bomb explosion kills over 30 in eastern Congo after army clashes with pro-government militia

It's utterly disconcerting that the fragile peace deal in Eastern Congo is facing another devastating setback 🤕. The fact that 30 people lost their lives and countless more are injured by a bomb explosion in Sange highlights the need for urgent action to prevent further bloodshed 💔. The ongoing conflict has left over 7 million displaced, making it one of the most dire humanitarian crises worldwide 🌎.

I'm particularly troubled by the accusations between President Tshisekedi and Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame, which seem to underscore a deeper cycle of mistrust & suspicion 😕. While a peace agreement is crucial, we need more concrete measures to hold perpetrators accountable for ceasefire breaches & ensure that all parties adhere to the terms 📝.

The US-brokered deal was a glimmer of hope in this devastating region, but its failure sends chilling signals about our collective inability to address conflicts effectively 💥. We must redouble efforts to support humanitarian aid & diplomatic initiatives to stabilize Eastern Congo and uphold human rights ⚖️.
