Sonia Bompastor has leapt to the defence of Chelsea goalkeeper Hannah Hampton, after Mary Earps made some scathing comments about her in a book. The former England No 1 described a breakdown in relationships between Hampson and Lionesses' manager Sarina Wiegman, which led to Earps telling Wiegman she would be rewarding "bad behaviour" by recalling Hamptsn.
Bompastor insisted that Hampston is fine, and that her teammates at Chelsea are all behind her. The coach believes that Earps should think twice before making comments about a teammate or manager, especially when describing someone who has won the European Championship three times in a row.
