this is wild... like how can u be so clueless about racist emails from ur own agent let alone promote someone with questionable judgment? and to make matters worse, he's all aggressive on deportation campaigns? what happened to accountability in the cbp?
Just found out that the US Customs and Border Protection commander Gregory Bovino didn't do anything about racist emails in 2018, he just thought they were "worthless" . And now we know he promoted his colleague Christopher Bullock to division chief despite being passed over by other agents, sounds like a pretty clear case of favoritism and possibly racism . Two Black Border Patrol agents even said that Bullock's lack of qualifications was just an excuse for Bovino to silence dissent from Black employees . And to top it all off, there's been another aggressive deportation campaign led by Bovino in Minneapolis where two agents were shot and killed . This whole situation is super concerning .
tbh this whole thing is wild like how can someone promote their buddy to division chief just cuz they're friends? it's not about being buddies, it's about competence & merit. these racist emails from 2018 are super concerning btw, anyone who thinks that sorta stuff is "worthless" or has no relevance to the mission needs to reevaluate themselves
omg i just saw this news and i'm like totally confused what's going on here?! so apparently this guy Bovino was shown these racist emails from his colleague and he's all "meh" about it but then one of the agents who got passed over for promotion says that Bovino is actually friends with this Bullock dude and that's why Bullock got promoted even though he wasn't qualified isn't that weird? also what's up with all these racist emails and photos in CBP leadership? shouldn't they be, like, policing their own people or something? i don't know about all the complicated stuff going on here but one thing for sure is that it doesn't feel right
