By the end of January, over 80% of Philly's libraries will be open on Saturdays

📚 So this is huge news! I'm thinking 9/10 of the libraries are gonna be open on Saturdays by late January? That's crazy! 🤯 Like, who doesn't want more time to learn or just hang out at a library? I mean, I've been to some of these libraries and they're like community hubs already. It makes total sense that they'd wanna make 'em more accessible.

I love how they're focusing on students, families, and job seekers - those are like the people who really need access to resources and space outside of work hours. 📚💻 And it's not just about the libraries themselves, but about the whole community coming together too. I mean, have you seen some of these town halls they've been holding? That shows they're listening to what people want.

The plan's all about adapting to changing circumstances, which is cool. I think it's gonna be awesome for residents who don't have access to other resources or spaces. Plus, having more libraries open on Saturdays means there'll be more study groups, book clubs, and just general chill vibes. 😊

I'm not sure about this one 🤔. I mean, don't get me wrong, more library hours is always a good thing, but do we really need libraries open 7 days a week? Like, what's next? Open them on holidays too? 😂 In all seriousness though, it's great that the library is listening to community feedback and trying to adapt. But are they doing it because they're being proactive or because they're just trying to keep up with changing expectations? 🤷‍♀️

🤩 finally! a change for the better! i'm so excited that most philly libraries will be open 7 days a week soon. my kiddo is always looking for new books to read and activities to do on saturdays, and it's been a struggle to find something fun to do with them when the library was closed. this is going to make such a big difference for families like mine who need more options for weekend learning and community engagement 📚👫

so finally 🤦‍♀️ they're making libraries a thing again on saturdays lol. i mean, who needs personal time when you can spend it browsing through dusty old books? 😂 but seriously, it's about time. those weekday hours were so lame (just kidding, kinda). anyway, gotta give props to the library for adapting to community needs. now if only they'd do the same with their wifi speeds... 🚀
