By the end of January, over 80% of Philly's libraries will be open on Saturdays

I'm super stoked that Philly's got its libraries open on Saturdays by Jan 31st 💪🏽! It's gonna be a game-changer for students & families who are always low-key scrambling to find time to hang out at the library. The storytime sessions, book fests, and community resources are all win-win-wins for me 📚👍🤩 And I'm loving that they're trying to get more consistent hours after years of reduced service...it's about darn time! 👏 But, I gotta wonder if there's gonna be enough staff on hand to make it all work? Funding & staffing adjustments are always a risk factor 🤑💼

I gotta disagree, Saturdays are the worst day to open a library 🙄. I mean think about it, most people are trying to relax or do their shopping on Saturdays. Now they'll be swarming your library trying to get work done or study, that's just gonna be chaos 😴. And what's the point of having all these extra resources if you're just gonna have a bunch of noisy students and job seekers taking up space? Can't we just stick to weekday hours like normal people do? 🤷‍♂️
