I mean, I was just thinking about how social media has changed since I started using it back in the day... Remember when Facebook had those old newsfeeds where you'd see everything from your friends and family? Now it's all about algorithms and content moderation
. It's like, what even is the point of having a platform if it's just gonna suppress certain viewpoints?
I'm not saying I agree with these users who think TikTok is being biased towards anti-Trump folks... I mean, can't we just have some constructive discussion without getting all worked up?
But at the same time, it's like, how do you know what's 'suppressive' content if you're not even showing it to everyone? It's a gray area, for sure.
I guess what concerns me is that these platforms are gonna start regulating our speech more and more... Do we really want that?
I'm all for free expression, but so are the people who are being censored on TikTok. It's like, can't we find a way to coexist peacefully online?
