Caribbeans reckon with aftermath of Hurricane Melissa

I'm still trying to process everything thats happening with hurricane melissa 😩 I cant even imagine having to deal with that kinda trauma in school, we just had a lockdown drill last week and its already been a year since the last big storm hit our area 🌪️ at least everyone is safe tho. But like, what if it happens again? We need to make sure our schools are prepared for emergencies and that we have a solid plan in place 📚💡

Ugh, I'm still fuming about these poor people 😩💔. First off, can we talk about how they're using emojis? Like, come on! 🤦‍♀️ There's a whole article dedicated to the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa without so much as a 💡 icon to represent the electricity outage situation... it's just so basic.

On a more serious note, I think what really gets my goat is how this storm has highlighted the lack of preparedness in these Caribbean nations. I mean, we all know climate change is real and it's only getting worse, but still... 🤦‍♂️ When are governments gonna step up and invest in disaster resilience measures?! It's not like they're asking for much – just some basic infrastructure to help them cope with these extreme weather events.

And can we please talk about the layout of this article? I mean, it's super dense and feels like a mess 📰💥. There are so many ideas being thrown around without any real structure or flow... it's like they just threw everything at the wall and hoped something stuck 😅. As someone who loves format and structure, it really gets me frustrated!
