Miami Weather Forecast Takes a Dramatic Turn Ahead of Thanksgiving Holiday Week

A beautiful weekend is coming to an end, with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures in store before a significant weather change sets in this Thanksgiving holiday week.

If you're traveling this weekend, be aware that some weather-related slowdowns are possible across the Southern Plains, Southwest, and Pacific Northwest due to dry conditions that have lasted for over 20 days in Miami and even longer in Key West.

A cold front is expected to drive the changes in the weather, with a first cold front getting close to South Florida on Monday but not reaching it. Instead, it will make landfall further south, bringing scattered showers on both Monday and Wednesday as it moves through the region. The second front currently over the Southwest US will bring rain to the area starting around Thanksgiving Day.

High temperatures are expected to remain in the 80s throughout the week, with lows warming up to around 70°F. However, things take a turn for the worse behind the cold front, as windy conditions start on Friday making it poor beach and boating conditions. Cloudy skies will also move into the area next weekend, with an isolated rain chance on Friday before scattered showers possibly develop on Saturday.

While the rain may be short-lived, planning ahead is key to enjoying your holiday festivities without being caught off guard by unexpected weather changes. Be sure to check back for updates on the forecast leading up to Thanksgiving Day.

Ugh, beach days already gonna be super sketchy next week 🤦‍♀️... I mean, I get it, weather can change like that, but who's excited for cloudy skies and potential rain on a holiday? 🌫️😒 Still hoping the sun comes out for those Thanksgiving festivities! ☀️

I don’t usually comment but... it’s kinda weird how Miami’s weather is all unpredictable now. I mean, one minute you’re chillin’ in shorts and tank tops, the next it’s raining and windy. I guess that’s just what happens when a cold front comes through, right? 🌪️ I’m planning to head down there for Thanksgiving, so hoping it doesn’t get too crazy weather-wise. But on the other hand, maybe the rain will even out the crowds and make it feel more chill 😎.

🤔 this weather change is gonna mess with our plans for thxgiving lol i was hopin to hit the beach this weekend but now its lookin like scattered showers on monday and wednesday 🌧️ think we need to start plannin ahead and check the forecast every day or so... dont wanna be stuck indoors with nothin to do 👎

Ugh, I know some people are gonna freak out about this but like, a few days of rain isn't the end of the world... 🙄 They're expecting scattered showers on Monday and Wednesday? Like, what's the big deal? It's not like it's gonna be a hurricane or something. And don't even get me started on the beach conditions, windy Friday? Boo hoo, can't enjoy the beach anymore? Get over it, grab an umbrella and chill.

Dude, I'm like super excited for the weekend, but also kinda worried about the weather 🤔. I mean, a cold front is supposed to hit and bring some rain, which is gonna be bummer for all the beach trips and outdoor plans I had planned with my friends 🏖️. And what's up with these crazy dry spells in Miami? It's been over 20 days, dude! I'm pretty sure that's like, a record or something 🤯. Can't wait to see what this Thanksgiving week brings tho... maybe it'll be a low-key holiday and we can just chill at home instead of braving the rain ☕️.

OMG, THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY WEEK IS GOING TO BE A WILD RIDE WEATHERWISE!!! 🌪️ I'm so not looking forward to those scattered showers and windy conditions 😒. Like, I get it, weather is unpredictable and all that jazz, but can't we just have a relaxing Thanksgiving at the beach or something? 🏖️ Instead of dealing with rain and beach closures, idk... maybe just plan some indoor activities or something 😅. Anyway, stay tuned for those updates on the forecast, 'cause I wanna make sure my plans don't get ruined!

🌧️ I'm low-key freaking out about this Miami weather forecast 😅. One minute it's gonna be sunny and warm, next thing you know it's raining and windy 🤯. If you're planning a beach trip over Thanksgiving, make sure to pack your umbrella and sunscreen... and some rain boots too ☔😂. And can we talk about how weird is that dry spell in Miami? Like, 20 days of no rain? That's wild 🌴💦.

🌞️ just got my weather alert and it looks like Miami is in for a total mood swing this Thanksgiving 🤯! first sunny days and warm temps, then BAM cold front hits and it's all rain and wind 🌨️... planning ahead is key, right? 📅 should probably check the forecast every other day or so to avoid any last min weather changes 😬. btw, who else is traveling this wkend? 🚗💨

looks like thanksgiving week is gonna be a wild ride in south florida 🌪️🏖️! i've checked the historical data and it seems that the average temperature in miami during this time of year is around 75°F (24°C) with an average high of 84°F (29°C). but, if we look at the weather patterns from past thanksgiving weeks, it's clear that rain can be a major factor 🌧️. did you know that in the past 10 years, there have been like, 5 thanksgiving weekends where it rained on saturday? 🤯 let me see... *pulls up data* ok, so according to the nws, in 2022, miami had a total of 4.5 inches (11.4 cm) of precipitation during the thanksgiving week, with an average high of 82°F (28°C). meanwhile, in 2019, it was a total of 3.7 inches (9.4 cm) of precipitation, with an average high of 79°F (26°C). 📈 anyway, just thought i'd share some stats to keep in mind when planning your thanksgiving festivities ☕🦃

🤔 so they're saying it's gonna get rainy around thanksgiving and then cloudy too 🌫️ sounds like that beach weekend I was planning is probs ruined 😔 guess I should start looking into indoor activities now or something? 🎉 how do they know exactly when the rain will come though? is it always this unpredictable in miami during thanksgiving? 🤷‍♀️

🤔 This cold front thingy sounds like it's gonna make a big mess just in time for thanksgiving 🤦‍♂️, you know? like, I was all set for some beach vibes this weekend and now I gotta plan for rain... guess what that means? longer lines at the airport 🛫️ and maybe even some cancelled flights 🚫. And don't even get me started on the wind, ugh 😩. just hope it's not too bad... but then again, who knows, right? we'll just have to wait and see how this whole thing plays out 📺.

🌫️ ugh, i hate it when they say "plan ahead" like that's not obvious lol... but seriously, with that cold front coming in, miami is gonna be a total mess by friday 🚣‍♂️ windy conditions and rain? no thanks! can't we just have nice weather for once? 😩 also, what's up with these dry conditions lasting over 20 days? that's like forever 🌾

Ugh dont wanna break the beach vibes 😩 just heard about this cold front hitting Miami and it's gonna be a major bummer 🤕 windy conditions on Friday are gonna make boating and hanging out at the beach super sketchy 🌊😷 anyone got plans for Thanksgiving already? shoulda checked that forecast like 2 weeks ago 🙄

OMG, I'm so done with trying to plan the perfect Thanksgiving weekend getaway only to have my plans ruined by unpredictable weather 🤯🌫️. Can't we just get some decent rain warnings or even a clear forecast already?! 😩 I swear, one minute it's sunny and hot, the next it's pouring and gloomy... is that too much to ask?! 🙄 The worst part is when you're trying to set up the outdoor table or plan some fun beach activities only to have those plans washed away by a cold front 💦. I guess what I'm saying is, can we just get some reliable weather forecasts for once?! 🤷‍♀️

omg, can't believe we're going to have a total 180° change in weather from sunny vibes to scattered showers 🌨️💦! i'm already planning my outdoor Thanksgiving festivities with sunscreen and hats, but now it's like, bring the raincoats too ☔️. hope the beach conditions aren't too cruddy with all that wind on friday, i was looking forward to a nice boating trip 🚣‍♀️. guess you gotta be prepared for anything in south florida, right? 👀
