I'm not surprised to see chatbots citing Grokipedia as a source , but I do think it's a bit concerning that Google's Gemini and ChatGPT are referencing Musk's AI-generated encyclopedia. I mean, we all know Grokipedia isn't exactly the most credible source on its own... . Still, with over 263k instances of Grokipedia being referenced in just 13.6 million prompts, it's not like they're ignoring it either .

I'd love to see more research on this topic, though. I'm curious to know what kind of vetting process is in place for chatbots to ensure they're using credible sources like Wikipedia over AI-generated content like Grokipedia .
