Chiefs eye reunion with Bears assistant Eric Bieniemy

The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly interested in reuniting with Eric Bieniemy, the Chicago Bears' running backs coach who has been making waves under the tutelage of General Manager Ryan Poles and President/CEO Kevin Warren. The Chiefs had expressed interest in interviewing Bieniemy for their open offensive coordinator position, a move that could potentially bring him back to the team where he spent seven years.

Bieniemy's tenure with the Bears has been notable, particularly in his development of the team's running backs. Despite averaging just 102 rushing yards per game, which ranks eighth-fewest in the league, the Bears' run game has seen significant improvement under Bieniemy's guidance. Rookie seventh-round pick Kyle Monangai has emerged as a reliable option, while D'Andre Swift has become more disciplined in his approach to running with the ball.

Bieniemy's time in Chicago was marked by high praise from Head Coach Ben Johnson, who described him as "a very demanding coach" who always pushes his players to perform at their best. While Bieniemy's departure could be imminent, it will be interesting to see if he ultimately returns to Kansas City and reunites with a familiar face in General Manager Ryan Poles.

The timing of this potential reunion is also worth noting, as Bieniemy would be filling the shoes of Matt Nagy, whose contract is set to expire. With several head coaching vacancies expected on the NFL scene, it's possible that Bieniemy may be looking for a change or seeking a new challenge in his career. However, with his familiarity with Poles and Warren, as well as his impressive work with the Bears' run game, he would certainly bring a wealth of experience to any team he joins.

OMG 🀯, I'm thinking the Chiefs are making a smart move πŸ‘ by wanting Eric Bieniemy back πŸ”„! He's done an amazing job πŸ’ͺ with the Bears' run game and that rookie Kyle Monangai is looking πŸ”₯ fresh out of college πŸŽ“. If he comes back to KC, it'll be awesome πŸ˜† to see him reunite with Ryan Poles πŸ‘«. They've got a good thing going βš–οΈ and I think Bieniemy would bring so much experience and knowledge πŸ’‘ to the team. Fingers crossed 🀞 that he decides to stay put 🏠! πŸ‘

Omg I feel like Bieniemy is making a super smart move if he's considering rejoining the Chiefs! 🀯 He did an amazing job in Chicago and it's clear that his coaching skills are still on point. The fact that Kyle Monangai has emerged as a reliable option for the Bears' run game is proof of that πŸ’ͺ I also love how Bieniemy pushed D'Andre Swift to be more disciplined with his running, it shows he cares about player development 🀝

Reuniting with Poles and Warren would definitely bring some familiarity and comfort to him, which can't be bad for a coach's mental health 😌 But at the same time, it might be good for him to explore other opportunities too... maybe he's ready for a new challenge? πŸ“ˆ Whatever he decides, I'm rooting for him! πŸ‘

idk why everyone's makin a big deal about Bieniemy leavin the Bears πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ... I mean, yeah, he's doin some cool stuff with the run game and all that jazz, but he left KC for a reason, right? Maybe he just needs a fresh start or somethin 😊. And let's be real, Bieniemy's already got connections in Chicago, so it's def worth considerin him as an option for the Chiefs 🀝. Plus, he'd bring some serious expertise to the table, especially with Nagy's contract comin up and all... not to mention Poles is still down with him from their days together πŸ‘«. It's a win-win either way, imo 😎

πŸ€” I think this reunion would be a great move for both Eric Bieniemy and the Kansas City Chiefs. It sounds like they have unfinished business with him and he's had some amazing success in Chicago πŸ’ͺ. With the departure of Matt Nagy, Bieniemy's timing couldn't be better... maybe it'll bring a fresh perspective to the team πŸ”„. We've seen how well he's developed their running backs, I'd love to see what kind of impact he could make with Patrick Mahomes at the helm πŸ“ˆ!

omg i think it's so cool that Bieniemy is considered for the OC spot in KC!! 🀩 he was an amazing coach when he was here and i'm sure he'll bring even more magic to the team! πŸ’« i wonder if Poles will make him the new OC or if there are other names on the radar πŸ˜‚ either way, it's gonna be awesome to see Bieniemy back in KC πŸŽ‰

Ugh, can't believe how many times Bieniemy has jumped ship already 🀯. I mean, I get it, new opportunities, but seven years in Chicago and now he's looking for a change? Like, what's the problem with the Bears' system that he needs to leave? And what about all the players he's developed, like Monangai and Swift? Don't they deserve some credit for his work? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Also, I'm not sure I want Bieniemy back in KC, it feels like a case of him jumping back into a familiar comfort zone rather than taking on new challenges. And what about Poles and Warren, if he's just going to stay in the same system... maybe it's time for some fresh blood? πŸ€”

I dont think its gonna happen tho πŸ€”... Bieniemy's been doing some cool stuff in Chicago and I think hes got some solid connections with Johnson & Poles now. Plus, KC's been trying to shake up their OC situation for a while now. Im not saying it cant happen but id say his chances of returning are slim ⚠️

omg i'm so down for KC to reunite with Bieniemy!!! 🀩 I mean think about it - he's been making waves in Chicago and taking their run game to the next level. that's some impressive work right there! Plus, having him come back would be a great morale boost for the team. and can you imagine how nice it'd be to see Bieniemy reunite with Ryan Poles? like, they already have a connection, so i think it could really pay off in terms of performance on the field 🀝

idk why kc needs bieniemy back, they already had him 7 yrs ago πŸ€”πŸˆ, i feel like they just need someone new to come in and shake things up, you know? kc's been kinda stagnant on offense for a while now, maybe it's time for a fresh face. plus,Bieniemy's gotta think about his own career goals, can't he see that this might not be the best fit for him? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
