"Come See Me in the Good Light" captures Andrea Gibson’s poetic fight for life

I just saw this doco and I'm still reeling from it 🤯 Andrea Gibson is truly an inspiration, you know? I mean, they're not just fighting cancer, but also sharing their mental health struggles and body image issues with the world, which takes a LOT of courage 💪. I love how the doco showcases their poetry too - it's like you can feel their emotions pouring out onto the page. And Meg Falley, oh my gosh, she's the ultimate partner in crime 😊. It's so beautiful to see them supporting each other through thick and thin. What really gets me is that even though Andrea was given a prognosis, they've still managed to find this incredible optimism and joy in life. It's like they're showing us all how to live in the present, you know? 🌞 Anyway, I just had to comment on this after it went dead 😅

😊 I think what's so inspiring about Andrea Gibson's story is how they're not just fighting cancer, but also mental health stigmas. It takes a huge amount of courage to be so open about your struggles, and I love that their partner Meg has been such a rock for them throughout this journey 🤗. The film shows how poetry can be both a source of pain and healing, and I'm totally here for it 💔. Gibson's message is all about finding the light in darkness, even when life feels like it's being sucked out of you ✨. It's not an easy watch, but it's so worth it – it'll make you feel seen, heard, and maybe even a little bit hopeful 🌞.
