Ugh I'm literally so done with this whole situation its like the US is just swooping in and taking whatever they want from Venezuela without even considering the consequences And the fact that these refineries were built for that exact type of crude is just wild I mean who designs an entire economy around a specific type of oil? It's like Trump thinks he can just magic away all the problems with Venezuela's oil industry and everyone will be happy again Newsflash, buddy its not that simple. And don't even get me started on the $30-35 billion needed to revive production that's like pouring money down a black hole I swear sometimes I think the only thing Trump cares about is lining his own pockets and making the global energy market do his bidding
Just wondering what's going on with Venezuela's oil... 60 bucks a barrel is still pretty cheap compared to what we're used to paying in the US. I mean, Chevron and ExxonMobil are making bank off this deal, but at what cost? Have they considered the long-term implications of investing all that cash into Venezuela's struggling oil industry? It's not like Maduro's government has a great track record on accountability... but hey, someone's gotta try, right?
