Detroit council aide fired after posing with Charles Pugh as Ombudsman staff - Detroit Metro Times

😬 this is so messed up, like what even happened here? Reggie Davis just pretending to be part of a legit team, using his council job for info from WingSwept... that's some serious misusing of power! 🤯 I mean I get it, City Council staff gotta be vetted but come on, how did this slip through the cracks? 💔

omg 🤯 just read about Reggie Davis, aide to Detroit City Councilwoman Mary Waters. he's got major issues - posed as part of new team at Ombudsman office for a job, but really just trying to get info from vendor WingSwept. like, what was he thinking? 🙄

anyway, councilwoman Waters fired him and it's about time. investigation found out he abused his position to get info and that's not cool. now we're left wondering how he even got hired in the first place... 💔

and btw, doesn't this whole thing raise some questions about vetting process for City Council staff? should be way more thorough than this 🤦‍♀️

here's a simple flowchart to summarize:
```
+---------------+
| Reggie Davis |
+---------------+
|
|
v
+---------------+ +---------------+
| Seeking new | | Misusing |
| job at Ombudsman| | authority |
| | | (big no-no) |
+---------------+ +---------------+
```
yeah, not cool. 👎

😬 The sins of the father are not laid to the son, but the sins of the son can come back to haunt him too 🤯. It's like they say "blood is thicker than water" - even if you're not related by blood, your actions can still have consequences that affect those around you 💔.

omg this is so crazy 🤯, i mean i'm glad mary waters took action against reggie davis ASAP, it's clear he was trying to get ahead and compromise the integrity of her team 💔. but at the same time, can we talk about how suspicious it is that charles pugh, a convicted sex offender, was even working with someone on city council staff 🤷‍♂️? like, what are the vetting processes in place for these positions? shouldn't they be way more thorough? 💯

I just saw that new Marvel movie and I'm still reeling from it 😲. I mean, who knew Thanos had a soft spot for romance? Anyway, back to the news... what's up with people seeking high-paying jobs on the down low? Like, isn't transparency part of the job offer process or something? 🤔 I swear, politics can be so confusing sometimes...
