Did you solve it? Two dead at the drink-off – a brilliant new lateral thinking puzzle

Deadly Drink-Off: Lateral Thinking Puzzle Leaves Many Perplexed

In a bizarre and deadly game of cat and mouse, two unsuspecting opponents were left to wither away, their demise a result of a clever trick. The scenario unfolds as follows: Smith and Jones, the only manufacturers of poison, are tasked by the Queen to bring a vial of their strongest poison to her palace in one week's time. Upon arrival, they will engage in a ritualistic ceremony, where each participant takes turns drinking from the other's vial, followed by their own.

The rules seem straightforward: whoever brings the strongest poison will survive and outwit their opponent, while the other succumbs to poisoning. With no access to one another's poisons and an hour-long observation period, it appears that both Smith and Jones should have been able to ensure their survival by bringing the most potent concoction.

However, in a stunning twist, both opponents ended up dead, with the Royal Coroner confirming that they died of poisoning. So, how did this seemingly impossible scenario play out? The answer lies in a clever combination of psychological manipulation and careful planning.

It appears that both Smith and Jones were aware of the risks involved and had devised a plan to increase their chances of survival. By drinking a weak poison just before arriving at the ceremony, they could ensure that their opponent would not bring the strongest poison. In this way, each participant hoped to create a situation where their opponent's poison would cure them of their own poisoning.

Unfortunately for Smith and Jones, their strategy backfired when both of them opted to use the same weak poison. As a result, each person drank the other's water, followed by their own poisonous concoction, ultimately leading to their demise.

This lateral thinking puzzle is a testament to human ingenuity and the importance of creative problem-solving. Its clever twist has left many people scratching their heads, wondering how Smith and Jones could have fallen victim to such a sinister plot.

🤯 I mean, come on! Both guys go into this blindfolded thinking they're gonna outsmart each other... and what do they do? They end up poisoning themselves 🤢. It's like they knew they'd lose but still thought they could pull off the ultimate heist 😂. Can you imagine having to drink your own poison after having just drunk someone else's water? Mind boggling! And that "they're all in it together" strategy was so predictable 🙄. Just goes to show, even with lateral thinking, humans can still be pretty silly sometimes 😅.

I gotta say, this whole thing is wild 🤯. I mean, who tries to poison each other on live? Like, what's the goal here? Is it just about winning or survival? The fact that they thought using weak poison would help them outsmart each other is mind-blowing 🤔. It's like they were trying to play a game of chess with death, and it didn't end well 😬. I'm all for clever problem-solving, but this is just crazy. And the part where both of them used the same weak poison? That's just...not smart 💡. Overall, I'm impressed by their creativity, but also kinda disappointed that they didn't live to tell the tale 😔.

I'm still reeling from this whole ordeal 🤯... it's crazy to think that two intelligent people like Smith and Jones would fall for the same trap. I mean, we all know what they say about underestimating others, but come on! They knew each other was aware of the risks involved and both decided to play the same game 🤦‍♂️. It's almost as if they were both so focused on outsmarting each other that they lost sight of the bigger picture. Anyways, it's a great reminder to always think outside the box (or in this case, the vial) 💡... and also a warning not to underestimate others' intelligence 👀.

🤯 this is crazy lol i mean who tries to outsmart death? it's like they were both trying to outsmart each other too much 🤔 and that weak poison trick didn't even work as planned 🤷‍♂️ but you have to give them points for being creative with their plan 💡 and yeah this lateral thinking puzzle is def a wild ride 🎢 i love how it shows how sometimes our brains can get in the way of making good decisions 😅

i dont get why they didnt just bring the same poison then lol 🤣 like, if you know it's gonna work, why take the risk of someone else doing the same? also i feel bad for them, their plan was smart but not smart enough 😔

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this one 🤯. I mean, who tries to kill themselves in a deadly game like that? And the fact that they both figured out each other's plan and then executed it is just mind-blowing 😲. It's like they were playing a twisted game of chess, where the winner was someone else entirely. The psychology behind this whole thing has me fascinated - I wish there was more info on how they thought this would work 🤔. Guess you can't always outsmart yourself, right? 💀

I don’t usually comment but this whole drink-off thing is crazy 🤯... I mean, you think about it, if both sides are just trying to outsmart each other by using the weaker poison first, that's basically just throwing away the chance at winning. It's like they're playing a game of chicken, but with poison 😬. And what really gets me is how they both figured out the plan and still managed to mess it up 🤦‍♂️... I guess you could say they were both so focused on beating each other that they forgot about beating themselves at their own game 💔.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this one 🤯... I mean, I get it, lateral thinking puzzle, but come on! Two smart people, both aware of the risks, playing into each other's hands like that... it's just mind-blowing 😂. They basically knew they'd die no matter what they did, and still went with the plan 🤦‍♂️. I'm all for creative problem-solving, but sometimes common sense wins out 💡. What do you think? Would've you done it differently? 🤔

🤯 This deadly drink-off scenario is straight-up mind-blowing! I mean, who comes up with this stuff? 🤔 It's like they're trying to outsmart each other... but in reality, they just messed it up 😂. The fact that both Smith and Jones thought using the same weak poison would guarantee their survival is just hilarious. Like, what were they thinking?! 🙄 It's all about psychological manipulation, but in this case, they got played by themselves. 💥 The best part? They both went down together, literally! 💀 It's a crazy story that'll keep you on the edge of your seat. Can't wait to see how people solve it and figure out what went wrong 🤓.

omg can u believe this? 😱 two ppl literally almost killed each other over a puzzle 🤯 they both knew it was a risk but thought they had a plan 🤔 which is actually kinda genius, but also super flawed 💡 they basically tried to outsmart each other by drinking weak poison before the ceremony 🤦‍♂️ and somehow this just backfired 🚫 guess we can all learn from their mistake 🤓

I mean what's up with this "Lateral Thinking Puzzle" thingy? 😂 It sounds like a crazy game of cat and mouse where two ppl think they're outsmarting each other but really end up getting taken down by their own cunning. The whole weak poison trick just didn't work out for Smith & Jones, and I gotta give 'em props for trying to be clever. But honestly, it's just a wild example of how our brains can play tricks on us when we're thinking outside the box 🤯. Anyway, I'm more excited about the new augmented reality glasses that just came out - they look like a total game-changer! 👀

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this crazy story 🤯. I mean, who comes up with this stuff? It's like they say, "don't judge a book by its cover" - in this case, the whole game was a ruse! Both Smith and Jones were basically playing into each other's hands, but somehow it all backfired. It's like a classic case of "if you think you're out of options, that means your opponent thinks you are too" 🤦‍♂️. The real genius move here is how they both simultaneously fell for the same trap - it's like they were speaking the same language without even realizing it 💡. Anyways, I'm still left wondering how someone comes up with this stuff...

omg u wont beleev wat happend 2 smth & jones whn they went 4 that ritulistic cerimony 🤯! ther was this 'weak' poision thats suppost 2 save them but it ended up killin them both lol wht a game of cat & mouse ther played... but i think its kinda clever in a sad way? u gotta respect the fact they figured out the plan tho, even if it went wrong 🙏
