Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream voluntarily recalls some Häagen-Dazs mini bars for undeclared wheat

Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream has initiated a voluntary recall of a limited quantity of Häagen-Dazs Dark Chocolate Mini Bars due to the presence of undeclared wheat in the product. The company made this announcement on Monday, and it was subsequently published on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration website.

The affected products were sold in six-count packages with "best by" dates ranging from January 31, 2027, to an unspecified date later than that. Consumers can identify these products by their batch code LLA519501, which is located on the packaging.

The recalled Häagen-Dazs mini bars have been shipped to grocery stores in 29 states, including Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Dreyer's has emphasized that no other Häagen-Dazs products or batches of Chocolate Dark Chocolate Mini Bars are affected by this recall. The company claims to be working closely with the FDA to investigate the issue.

Consumers with a wheat allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat are advised not to consume these products and instead should discard them or return them to their place of purchase for a full refund. Dreyer's has stated that its top priority is maintaining the safety, quality, and integrity of its products.

Those who have questions about this recall can contact [email protected] or call (800) 767-0120 between 8 am and 5 pm ET on weekdays.

Ugh, another one 🤦‍♂️! Can't believe Häagen-Dazs would release a product with undeclared wheat in it. I mean, I love their dark chocolate mini bars, but come on! 😒 The worst part is that only 29 states were affected, which means people in the other states can just keep eating away without any worries... or so they think 🤔. It's like Dreyer's should've done more quality control checks before shipping these out. And now consumers have to deal with the hassle of returning them for a refund or discarding them altogether 🚮. Just not cool, guys 😒.

🤔 just had to check my social media notifications, saw that Häagen-Dazs is recalling some of their mini bars due to undeclared wheat... kinda weird that it was voluntarily done by the company 😐, you'd think they'd be like 'oh no' when they found out about it but I guess better safe than sorry? 🙏

anyway, hope people with wheat allergies are okay and don't have to worry about getting sick from eating these mini bars. Dreyer's seems pretty on top of things by investigating the issue and being open about what happened 👍... now let's just wait and see how this whole thing plays out 🤞

OMG 🤯, like I'm so glad Dreyer's is being super responsible here! 👍 They're taking care of business by recalling these mini bars ASAP 💨. It's always better to be safe than sorry, especially for people with wheat allergies 🙏. I mean, can you even imagine the chaos if someone accidentally consumed that stuff? 😱 No way, not on their watch! 💪

I love how transparent they are too 🤗 - giving out all the details and telling us what to do. It's like, Dreyer's is saying 'Hey, we messed up, but we're gonna fix it!' 🙌 And the best part? They're not making a big deal about it, just keeping on trucking 💨.

So yeah, I'm giving this recall major props 👏! Keep those ice cream mini bars safe and delicious for everyone! 🍦👍

omg u gotta be careful w/ ur food esp if u got a wheat allergy 🤯 i mean its good that dreyers is being proactive & recalling the products but like what even happened here? 😂 how did undeclared wheat make it into their mini bars in the first place? 🍦 guess thats why we gotta always read those labels closely 👀

🤕 I'm so worried about parents who might not know if their kid has a wheat allergy... those little mini bars could be a major allergen alert 🚨. I hope Dreyer's is taking this seriously and getting to the bottom of it ASAP! 👍 It's crazy how some companies can have undeclared ingredients in their products... what kind of quality control checks do they even have in place? 😒

🤔 just saw that Häagen-Dazs is recalling some dark chocolate mini bars due to undeclared wheat... gotta be careful when it comes to food allergies, especially for those who have a severe sensitivity 🙏. also kinda weird that they're not sure when the affected products were shipped out 📦, hope Dreyer's and the FDA are getting to the bottom of this 👀

omg u guys be careful! 😱 just heard that Häagen-Dazs mini bars have undeclared wheat in them 🤯 like how can that happen? i'm sure they didn't mean to, but it's still super concerning for people with wheat allergies 🥖 i don't think this is a huge deal yet, but let's keep an eye on it & make sure everyone knows about the recall 📣 so if u have one of those mini bars, just check ur batch code & return it or discard it 🚮 they're working w/ FDA to figure out what went wrong 👍

OMG u guys 🤯! So like I was checking out walmart and they had those Häagen-Dazs mini bars on sale and I'm thinkin bout buyin them but then I saw the recall notice online lol. Like I dont even eat wheat but thats a lil too close 2 home for me tbh. Its kinda weird that Dreyers initiated the recall voluntarily tho, its like they r tryna be good guys about it 🤝. Anyways, if u got one of those mini bars and have a wheat allergy or sensitivity, just discard it or return it to where u bought it 4 a refund. Safety first, right? 👍

omg what a bummer! someone's gotta take responsibility for making ice cream 🍦, but at least Häagen-Dazs is doing the right thing by recalling those mini bars 💯. i feel bad for ppl with wheat allergies tho 🤕, can't even enjoy their favorite treats without worrying about anaphylaxis 😬. hope they get a full refund back from Dreyer's 👍 and that no one gets sick from eating the affected products 🚨

omg I just got an email from my fave grocery store about this recall 🤯 anyone else seen those Häagen-Dazs mini bars in stores? I swear I bought a few packs last month, but I didn't think anything of it when I saw the batch code on the packaging. now that I think about it, I do have a wheat allergy 😬 so yeah I'm definitely gonna check my fridge to see if I have any of those bad bars 🤦‍♀️ guess you could say Dreyer's is being super responsible for once 👍

Ugh I'm so livid right now! Can you even believe that some companies think it's okay to slip in undeclared wheat into their products without even warning consumers? Like, what kind of reckless disregard for people's health is this?! Those with a wheat allergy or severe sensitivity are literally putting their lives at risk by consuming these tainted treats. I mean, can't they just be transparent and honest about what's in their products? The fact that Dreyer's had to issue a voluntary recall just shows how far behind the times they are when it comes to consumer safety. And what really gets my goat is that they're not even taking full responsibility for this mess... "no other Häagen-Dazs products or batches are affected"... like, who cares about that? The damage has been done! 🤯😡

dreyers grand's got your back...and wallet 💸

omg u guys i cant even imagine eating a whole mini bar without knowing there's wheat in it thats so irresponsible of dreyers 👎 they should really be more careful when testing their products esp for ppl with food allergies its not just about the money tho its about keeping people safe too 🤝 hope they take full responsibility and get to the bottom of this recall

🤔 I'm kinda relieved that they're taking responsibility for this, but it's still pretty concerning to think about people unknowingly consuming something with undeclared wheat... 🍦😬 I mean, I love Häagen-Dazs as much as the next person, but safety should always come first. The fact that it was a voluntary recall is good, though - at least they're being proactive about it. 💯 Still, I wish there were more transparent labels and clearer guidelines for consumers with allergies... 🤦‍♀️

omg 😱 just saw that Häagen-Dazs mini bars had undeclared wheat 🌾😬 anyone got one of these? gotta be careful 🤕 especially if u have a wheat allergy 🤯 gotta get the word out 👀👍
