Eagles relieve Kevin Patullo of offensive coordinator position

Eagles Ditch Patullo, Shift Focus Amid Offense Struggles

In a move that was all but expected, the Philadelphia Eagles announced Tuesday they're parting ways with their beleaguered offensive coordinator, Kevin Patullo. The news comes as no surprise to those who have closely followed the team's struggles on offense this season.

According to head coach Nick Sirianni, the decision was not made lightly and reflects a collective recognition that something needs to change. "I met with Kevin today to discuss the difficult decision," Sirianni said in a statement. "He is a great coach who has my utmost respect. He has been integral to this team's success over the last five years... I have no doubt he will continue to have a successful coaching career."

While Patullo's ousting may seem like a fait accompli, it was preceded by an earlier investigation into whether changes needed to be made at the top of the Eagles' offense. Sources had already indicated that the team's brass began searching for a new OC before the news broke.

Patullo took over as pass game coordinator in 2021 and remained in that role until 2024, when he was promoted to OC following Kellen Moore's departure to become head coach at New Orleans Saints.

The move has sparked renewed speculation about who might take Patullo's place. The Eagles' coaching search is set to be closely watched, with several candidates already being considered for the position.

I'm telling you, something fishy is going on here... 🐦😏 Like, have you seen the way they're talking about Patullo? "Belieaguered offensive coordinator"? That's some fancy language to describe someone who's just doing their job. And what's with all these "sources" and "investigations"? It sounds like a setup for a power play... I'm not buying it. πŸ€” Maybe the real question is, why are they making such a big deal about changing OCs? Is it because they're not happy with Patullo's performance... or something else entirely? πŸ€‘

ugh i feel u guys patullo was always a wildcard he had some great plays but was also super inconsistent like wut happened this season lol didnt think we were gonna make it outta the division but still got lucky πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ anyway gotta say tho nicks gotta do better w/ his QB situation or else they'll never get far 🚫 hope whoever takes over does a better job than patullo πŸ‘

omg u guys i was literally thinking the same thing when i heard this news 🀯 i mean who else but change coaches to fix the offense struggles right?? i feel so bad 4 kevin patullo tho he seemed like a great coach and i loved watching him on tv 🀝 i'm low-key hoping they bring in some fresh blood and maybe someone new can help the eagles score more points lol πŸ’‘

so it looks like kevin patullo got the boot πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ... i mean, not entirely surprising, but still a bummer for philly fans. nick sirianni's words about patullo's skills and experience are pretty diplomatic 😊, but we all know the real reason is that they're struggling on offense this season. gotta wonder what changes will be made in the coaching search πŸ€”... any of those ex-saints coaches gonna get a shot? or maybe someone from the bears? i'm curious to see who sirianni and co. are gonna bring in to shake things up πŸ”₯

ugh i kinda feel bad for kevin patullo, he's been with the team for ages and seems like a solid coach... πŸ€” but let's be real, the offense has been struggling for years so i'm not gonna sit here and say "oh woe is him" πŸ˜’ what i do think is that nick sirianni is being pretty diplomatic about the whole thing, saying he respects patullo as a coach which is nice... πŸ‘ but at the same time, changing the OC isn't just about finding someone new it's also about figuring out what went wrong with the current system πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ gotta keep an eye on who they bring in next tho... πŸ“Š

the eagles are really struggling on offense and now they're ditching patullo πŸ€”... it's not a big surprise tbh, i mean, the guy was only in charge 2 seasons and things just aren't clicking πŸ’ͺ... nick sirianni seems like a cool coach tho, he's got my respect πŸ‘... hopefully whoever takes over can turn things around for the team 🏈

This is like, super predictable πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ, I mean, the Eagles are struggling on offense and it's no surprise they're making a change. I feel bad for Patullo though, he seemed like a solid coach, been with the team for 5 years and all that πŸ˜”. It's gonna be interesting to see who gets the new OC spot, hopefully it'll be someone who can turn things around for the team 🀞. Maybe they should've done this back in '24 when Moore left, would've saved them from all this mess πŸ™„.

I feel bad for Kevin Patullo πŸ€•, he's been a big part of the team's success and got a lot of respect from the coach 😊. Maybe this change will help them find a fresh perspective and get their offense going again? It's all about trying new things and adapting to the game πŸ”„. I'm curious to see who the Eagles will choose next, but for now, it's hard not to feel a bit sorry for Patullo πŸ˜”.

πŸ€” I'm not surprised they're getting rid of that OC, I mean Kevin Patullo... he just seemed like he was stuck in a rut with their offense. 🏈 It's been a tough season for them and a change might be just what the doctor ordered. πŸ”„ But, you know, it's always sad to see someone go when they've had success in the past... I mean, 5 years is no joke! πŸ˜… The thing that's got me curious now is who's gonna come in and shake things up? πŸ€”

just got the news that eagles are ditching patullo πŸ€”... i'm not surprised tbh, their offense has been a mess this season and it's time for a change 😐. but on one hand, i feel bad for kevin patullo, he's a good coach and all, been with the team for 5 years and has my respect πŸ‘. it's just weird that they're saying he's going to have a successful coaching career after this πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. wonder who'll take over as new oc... some of these candidates are already being tossed around 🀯... gotta wait and see how the whole thing plays out ⏰

I gotta say, it's like they're saying "sorry Kevin" πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. I mean, I get that they wanna change things up since offense has been struggling, but parting ways so suddenly feels like a cop-out, you know? Like they didn't wanna rock the boat and keep an OC who's actually had some decent results in the past... five years, to be exact. But hey, at least Nick Sirianni is being kinda cool about it, saying Patullo's "great coach" πŸ™. Still curious who's gonna step in and turn things around for this team... maybe someone with a few more tricks up their sleeve? πŸ˜‚

idk why they even bothered giving patullo a year to fix things 😐. it feels like he got an extension just 'cause the team was gonna tank anyway πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. i guess sirianni's all about keeping people happy, so he stuck around longer than expected πŸ‘Ž. now we'll just have to wait and see who they pick next πŸ€”

man... it feels like every year we're hearing about another OC getting fired πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. i mean don't get me wrong, kevin patullo sounds like a cool dude and all, but come on, 5 years is a long time to be stuck in the same rut, you know? maybe it's not his fault or anything, but at some point, you gotta shake things up πŸ”„.

i'm kinda curious to see who's gonna take over next, though. i mean, i've heard of a few names that might fit the bill... someone who can breathe new life into that offense and get us to the super bowl for real this time πŸ’₯. fingers crossed, at least 😊.

πŸ€” the eagles really need a shake up on offense, patullo just didn't seem to be doing his job anymore πŸ“‰ 5 yrs under sirianni and they're still struggling 😬 don't get me wrong patullo is a great coach but sometimes you gotta make tough decisions to bring in fresh blood πŸ’‘ maybe this change will spark something πŸ”₯

πŸ˜‚ Can you believe it? The Eagles are like me after a Netflix binge - they can't even finish what they started (offense-wise) 🀣. But seriously, it's not a shock that Patullo is out, I mean, have you seen their offense lately? It's been all over the place! πŸ€ͺ Maybe a new OC will bring some fresh blood and turn things around? The Eagles' coaching search is like trying to find the perfect meme - it's gonna be a wild ride! πŸ’₯

πŸ€” I'm not surprised they're kicking Patullo to the curb, tbh 🚫. They've been having some major struggles on offense and it's clear that something needs to change. It's about time, if you ask me πŸ˜’. The fact that Nick Sirianni is being all diplomatic about it and saying nice things about Kevin doesn't mean much, imo πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. I'd love to see some new blood in there and maybe someone who can shake things up a bit πŸ”„. The coaching search is going to be super interesting to watch, especially with all the rumored candidates πŸ€”.

I'm surprised they didn't fire him earlier lol... like what's next? I feel bad for Kevin, he had some good seasons as OC but that offense has been a mess this year πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. Nick Sirianni seems cool, gives credit where it's due and all that, but we'll see if the new guy can turn things around πŸ’ͺ. The coaching search is gonna be intense, I'm low-key hoping it's someone who can get the offense firing on all cylinders again πŸ”₯. Maybe a young guns coach? We'll see what happens πŸ€”

I'm so bummed about Kevin Patullo leaving... it feels like just yesterday he was helping Carson Wentz become a Pro Bowl QB πŸ€•. It's crazy how fast time flies, right? I remember when Kellen Moore left and they thought Patullo would be the one to save the offense 😬. Guess that wasn't meant to be. The Eagles need someone who can get this offense firing on all cylinders again... hope whoever takes over brings some fresh ideas! 🀞

Ugh, I'm so tired of this NFL carousel 🀯... Can't these guys make up their minds? First it was Moore, then Patullo... What's next? Some young buck comes in and thinks they can turn it around overnight πŸš€? Give me a break! I remember when Donovan McNabb used to throw touchdowns like nobody's business 🀩. Now, the offense is stuck in neutral... Guess you could say we're back to square one 😐. At least Sirianni is keeping it real about Patullo being a great coach who's still got a lot of love πŸ’•. But, I'm all ears for who's gonna step up and lead this team to victory 🏈...
