Eagles stay or go: Offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo

The Philadelphia Eagles are poised to make significant changes in their coaching staff, particularly under center. After a disappointing 2025 season that saw the team struggle with consistency and creativity on offense, it remains to be seen whether OC Kevin Patullo will return for another year.

Patullo's tenure as pass game coordinator has been marked by continuity, a trait that head coach Nick Sirianni praised in his post-season assessment of the OC. However, this same continuity may also be Patullo's undoing. Despite having the team's star-studded roster at his disposal, the Eagles' offense was woefully predictable and often left fans scratching their heads.

While some of Patullo's performance can be attributed to broader strategic decisions made by Sirianni, there are aspects that were decidedly within Patullo's purview, leaving viewers wondering why they persisted with these same tired tactics. Penalties, poor play sequencing, and an over-reliance on contested catches all seemed like issues that could have been addressed more effectively through better game planning.

Ultimately, it's hard to blame Patullo for the Eagles' woes, but when you consider the team's enormous talent at its disposal, it's difficult not to wonder what might have been if they'd opted for a fresh perspective. The real question now is whether the front office will choose to retain Patullo or bring in an outside OC with a proven track record of success.

The verdict is likely out on Patullo's future, but one thing is certain: if he returns next season, it won't be without scrutiny. With the Eagles' top brass keenly aware of last year's shortcomings, it's only a matter of time before they look to shake things up and give their offense a much-needed reboot.

ugh i was thinking the same thing!! 🀯 if kevin patullo stays on and doesn't bring any new ideas, its gonna be super frustrating for fans. don't get me wrong, patullo's done alright but last season was such a letdown and i think they should've tried something different by now. didnt we see the same old penalties, dropped passes and lack of creativity in their game plan? πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

idk about patullo staying on, seems like they're stuck in a rut πŸ€”... the team's got all the talent, but the offense was super predictable last year. wouldn't it be better to bring in someone new who can shake things up? 😐... i mean, i get that continuity is important and all, but if you've got players like jalen hurts and devin singletary, you should be able to innovate more than just "run the same plays over and over". πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I THINK IT'S ABOUT TIME THE EAGLES BRING IN SOME FRESH BLOOD IN THAT OFFENSE!!! 🀯 THEY'VE GOT ONE OF THE BEST ROSTERS IN THE LEAGUE, BUT IT JUST DOESN'T SEEM TO BE WORKING OUT LIKE THEY WANTED IT TO. KEVIN PATULLO'S BEEN IN CHARGE FOR A WHILE NOW AND I THINK HE'S DONE A DECENT JOB, BUT COME ON, IT CAN'T BE THAT HARD TO MIX THINGS UP WHEN YOU'VE GOT THE TALENT TO DO SO! πŸ˜‚ IF THEY'RE NOT GONNA MAKE SOME MOVES, THEN THEY MIGHT AS WELL JUST STICK WITH WHAT THEY'RE KNOWING (BUT LET'S FACE IT, THAT'S PROBABLY WHAT'S HOLDING THEM BACK). ANYWAY, I'M SURE THE FRONT OFFICE WILL BE KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON THINGS AND WE'LL SEE WHAT HAPPENS IN THE COMING WEEKS! πŸ€”

I feel like they gotta make a change at OC or else people are gonna lose patience. Patullo's been there for 2 years now & the results ain't exactly mind-blowing. They got an amazing roster, but it seems like they're stuck in a rut. Maybe bringing in someone new will bring some fresh ideas & help them break out of this predictability. I'm not saying Patullo's a bad coach or anything, but when you've got that kind of talent, you gotta push the limits, ya know?

OMG u guys the Eagles gotta make a change!! I mean Patullo's got some solid skills but like his play calling was SO predictable 🀯πŸ’₯ 4c fans r gonna be on their toes if he sticks around next season! The front office needs 2 shake things up & bring in someone w/ a fresh perspective, u know? Maybe some genius QB coach or OC who's got some sauce 🍲πŸ”₯

πŸ€” I'm not surprised to hear that Patullo's job security is in doubt. As someone who's been around the block a few times, I can tell you that sometimes it takes a fresh set of eyes (and ears) to shake things up. The Eagles have an amazing talent pool, and yet they still seem stuck in neutral on offense. It's like they're playing by a different rulebook than everyone else! 🏈 I think it's time for some change, and if Patullo can't bring the creativity and excitement back to the field, then he's gotta go. But, you know, that's just my two cents 😊.

I THINK IT'S HIGH TIME THE EAGLES BRING IN SOME FRESH BLOOD UNDER CENTER!!! 🀯 THEIR OFFENSE WAS SO PREDICTABLE LAST SEASON, I COULD WRITE A BOOK ON HOW TO TACKLE THEM! πŸ˜‚ KEVIN PATULLO DID HAVE SOME GOOD MOMENTS, BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY, CONSISTENCY ISN'T JUST ABOUT HAVING A GOOD TEAM - IT'S ABOUT BEING ADAPTABLE AND THINKING ON YOUR FEET. πŸ€” IF THEY'RE NOT WILLING TO MAKE THOSE CHANGES, THEN I GUESS YOU COULD SAY THEY'LL STAY IN THE SAME OLD RUT FOREVER! 😴

lol what's with OCs being so predictable? πŸ€” like can't we just mix it up a bit? Patullo's been there for 2 years now and still we're seeing the same old penalties and play sequencing issues. shouldn't he have some new ideas by now? πŸ™„ also, can we get some actual creativity on offense? all these contested catches are getting old... πŸ˜’

idk about this Patullo guy... like i think he needs a change or smthn πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ i mean the eagles have such a sick roster but they just can't seem to create some kinda magic on offense, u feel? πŸ€” maybe its not his fault tho... head coach sirianni seems pretty cool and all, maybe hes got like a plan to shake things up... or maybe patullo just needs to bring some new ideas to the table? πŸ“ idk what the solution is but i think its time for some change lol

πŸ€” this team needs a spark, you feel? all that talent and still struggling to get consistent results... i'm not saying patullo is the problem but... πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ maybe it's time for some fresh blood behind center? new OC could bring some much-needed creativity to that offense πŸ’‘

I gotta say, I'm all for some shakeup in Philly! πŸ€” Their offense was pretty boring last season and I think a fresh perspective would be super beneficial. Patullo's been with them for a while now and you can see how the game planning got stale. I mean, penalties, bad play sequencing... it's just basic stuff that shouldn't be that hard to fix. The Eagles have some amazing talent on their roster so it's crazy they couldn't come up with something more creative. Maybe Patullo will get another chance but if not, someone new in the OC role would be a huge upgrade πŸ’ͺ

πŸ€” I think its gonna be tough for Patullo to stick around next season πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ. The Eagles have got one of the best rosters in the league, so you'd expect more creativity from the OC side of things. Continuity can be a good thing, but when it's not translating to wins on the field, that continuity is gonna get called out for being stale 😴. I think the front office would be crazy not to explore other options if they wanna stay competitive. We're already seeing teams making changes and it's only January πŸ“†

I gotta say πŸ€”, I'm so over teams playing it safe all the time! The Eagles have got some of the best players in the league, but if you're just gonna stick with the same old play-calling, you're gonna get exposed ⚑️. It's like they're saying, "Hey, we've got guys like Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith, let's just run the same plays over and over again." Give me a break πŸ™„! If Patullo can't shake things up a bit, I don't see how he'll get another year in that role. I'm all for giving coaches a chance to grow, but if it's not working, it's time to try something new πŸ”₯.

πŸ€”πŸˆ I think Patullo needs some changes in his playbook πŸ“πŸ’‘. The team has so many talented players 🐦πŸ’ͺ but the offense was super predictable πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ. If they want to make a comeback, they need a fresh perspective πŸ‘€ and maybe someone new to bring that πŸ’₯! πŸ”΄βš«οΈ The front office needs to think outside the box πŸ“¦ and not be afraid to shake things up πŸ”ͺ if it means winning β°πŸ’¨

πŸ€” So I'm thinking Patullo is gonna get the axe soon? Like, his style isn't really working for the Eagles anymore. They're stuck in this predictable rut and it's not like they have that one superstar QB to bail them out πŸ™„. But you know who's good at calling plays? The dude from Kansas City! If Philly wants a real game-changer, they should consider bringing him on board πŸ‘Š. I mean, Patullo's got his strengths, but creativity is where it's at right now πŸ’‘. Can't keep doing the same old thing and expecting different results 🚫.

I'm totally fine with Patullo sticking around for another year πŸ€”. I mean, he's not the one calling the shots under center, right? Sirianni's the one making all the big decisions, so if he sees value in Patullo's continuity thingy, who are we to disagree? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ And let's be real, if the Eagles were gonna get blown out by like 3 touchdowns every week, then I think we need more of that predictable stuff 😜. Maybe they should just run Patullo up the flagpole and see what sticks (or doesn't). It's not like it's a proven track record or anything πŸ’―.

I got a bad vibe from that Patullo guy πŸ€”πŸ’” he just seemed so stuck in his ways you know? I mean the team had all those talented players but still, the offense was all predictable and boring... and don't even get me started on those penalties 🚫😑 it's like they didn't even try to mix things up. Nick Sirianni is a great coach but sometimes you need some fresh blood in that OC position to shake things up πŸ”₯πŸ’ͺ

πŸ˜’ I gotta say, I'm both excited and disappointed at the same time about Patullo's future with the Eagles. On one hand, it's awesome that they've got so many talented players on their roster 🀩 - Jalen Hurts is gonna light it up next season for sure πŸ”₯! But at the same time, it's hard not to think that maybe, just maybe, a fresh perspective would have taken the Eagles' offense to the next level πŸš€? I mean, come on, they went from being one of the top offenses in the league to kinda meh last season πŸ€”... it's gotta hurt for fans like me who loved watching all those amazing plays 😒. But hey, that's just my two cents - what do you guys think? Should Patullo get another shot? Or is time for a change? πŸ’¬
