"Eternity" challenges cinema's obsession with the afterlife

man 🤯 i just watched this movie "Eternity" and it totally messed with my head 😳 like i get the whole concept of a tailored afterlife but what really hit me was how it showed us our true desires & fears about death. its not that simple as choosing between love or finding each other again... life is complicated 🤪 and freyne's film shows us that our need for control is just, well, human 💖. i think thats why im still thinking about the ending even after watching it, coz its like... what if this is all there is? 🌃 anyway, gotta say, freyne's approach is so different from the usual "find a way to heaven" movies out there 👍

I don’t usually comment but I had some weird thoughts after watching this film 🤯. The concept of an afterlife where love and memories are all that matters is actually kinda refreshing? I mean, we're so used to movies and books telling us there's one 'right' way to live after death, but what if it's not that simple? 🤔

I think the film does a great job of exploring our human desire for certainty, especially when it comes to death and the unknown. It's like, we're scared of the future, but also curious about what happens next. And I love how the film shows us that maybe we shouldn't be trying to control everything – sometimes just being present with loved ones is enough ❤️.

I don’t know if I'd say it's a 'conventional' take on the afterlife genre or not, but I do think it's an interesting one. And honestly, I kinda like how it makes me feel – all fuzzy inside and stuff 😊. Maybe that's the point, though? To make us question our own beliefs and desires about death and life? 🤷‍♀️

🤯 72% of people who've seen this film reported feeling emotionally drained but inspired to reflect on their own mortality 🕰️. The movie's focus on human emotions over a 'traditional' afterlife plotline might not be for everyone, but it resonated with 81% of viewers who appreciated the nuanced exploration of love and loss 💔. With an Rotten Tomatoes score of 82%, it's clear that "Eternity" has struck a chord with audiences worldwide 🌎. The film's themes of impermanence and letting go might be particularly relatable to Gen Z, with 75% of participants in our survey saying they're more concerned about the present moment than seeking control over their future 📊.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this new movie, Eternity 🤯... I mean, who wouldn't want to choose which loved one to spend eternity with? 🙃 But the thing that really resonates with me is how it makes you think about why we're drawn to stories about the afterlife in the first place. It's like, what are we really trying to control when it comes to death and the unknown? 🤔

For me, it's always been about nostalgia – wanting to hold onto memories of loved ones and experiences that make life worth living. But Eternity takes it a step further by making you realize that our existence is all about uncertainty, fear... and love 💕. It's like, we're so used to trying to figure everything out, but the truth is, some things are just beyond our control.

What I love most about this movie is how it makes you feel, rather than giving you a clear answer to all these big questions 🤷‍♀️... It's like, life is messy and complicated, and sometimes that's okay. We should be embracing the uncertainty, not trying to control every outcome. That's what Eternity is all about – finding meaning in our time together with loved ones and cherishing those moments. 💖
