EXCLUSIVE: 'Zootopia 2' deleted scene reveals Nick and Judy in an alternative opening

In a surprising twist, an exclusive deleted scene from Walt Disney Animation Studios' 'Zootopia 2' has shed new light on the film's opening sequence. The scene, titled "Where Are They Now?", initially served as an alternative version of the movie's beginning where Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps attempt to apprehend a smuggler at the airport.

Instead of ending up at the docks as seen in the final cut, this alternate scene features Nick and Judy trying to bust the smuggler. The deleted material offers a fascinating glimpse into what could have been and how different animation decisions ultimately led to the scenes we see on screen.

The original storyline for "Zootopia 2" sees Nick and Judy follow fan-favorite character Gary De'Snake, a rookie cop tasked with investigating a case that takes them through new parts of the animal metropolis. To crack the case, they must use their unique partnership skills, testing their trust and communication to their limits.

The hit film shattered box office records upon its release in theaters, earning over $1.7 billion worldwide and solidifying its place as the highest-grossing animated film in history.

Fans can now access a wealth of behind-the-scenes material from 'Zootopia 2' through special features included on the digital release. These include featurettes with interviews, deleted scenes, and more.

This "Where Are They Now?" scene is giving me all the feels like I missed out on some major plot twist 😩. I mean, can you imagine Nick & Judy doing a full-on bust at the airport instead of just ending up at the docks? That's gotta be super interesting to see what kinda animation decisions went into changing that route πŸ€”. It's wild how different it could've been and still worked out somehow... Gary De'Snake is still my fave cop, btw 🐍πŸ’ͺ

man this alternate opening scene is wild 🀯 i mean who knew nick and judy were trying to bust a smuggler at the airport instead of just chillin at the docks lol what could've been right? it's crazy how different animation decisions can change the whole vibe of a movie like that. anyway i'm hyped to see more behind-the-scenes stuff on the digital release, gotta love all the extra goodies πŸŽ‰

OMG I'm literally loving this new info about Zootopia 2!!! 🀯 I mean, can you even imagine if Nick & Judy had tried to bust that smuggler at the airport instead of the docks? It would've been so cool! πŸš” But I guess it's good that they went with what we got because that opening scene is SO iconic 😎. I don't get why they're making all these extra versions of movies. Can't we just stick to one version? πŸ€” I mean, who really cares about an alternate scene that's like 5 minutes long? It's not like it's going to change the plot or anything. They could've just left it out and been done with it. And what's with all these behind-the-scenes features? Are we supposed to be some kind of film students or something? I just wanna watch the movie, not analyze it to death πŸ˜’

omg u guys i just saw the trailer for zootopia 2 and i'm so hyped 🀩 but what's up with nick & judy's car? is that a new design or did they just switch it out in post production? i mean i know its not meant to be the main focus of the film but still its kinda random. also can someone pls tell me more about gary de snake? who is he and why do we care about his case πŸ€”πŸ’
