Five college prospects who could interest the Eagles in the 2026 NFL Draft

Philadelphia Eagles' Quarterback Depth Chart: The Team Needs to Find the Next Jalen Hurts

The Philadelphia Eagles are set to make significant changes in their quarterback position as they look to support Jalen Hurts. With Tanner McKee likely to start elsewhere, the team is looking for a reliable backup. LaNorris Sellers, a 6'3" QB from South Carolina, has been on the radar due to his impressive physical traits, including a strong arm and size advantage.

However, Sellers' season was marred by accuracy concerns, throwing just 11 TDs against 6 INTs with 37 sacks in leading the Gamecocks to a 4-7 record. While some draftniks still have him as a first-round pick, it's uncertain whether he'll fall to the Eagles at that point.

Another prospect, Brandon Cisse from South Carolina, is an interesting candidate for the Eagles' cornerbacks. A springy and fast athlete with cover skills, Cisse has caught Howard Roseman's attention. He may be available in the later rounds of the draft.

The Eagles are also looking for a pass-rusher to pair with Brandon Graham. Quincy Rhodes from Arkansas fits the bill with his size (6'6", 275 lbs), quickness, and explosiveness. While he only had 42 tackles and 8 sacks last season, he could be an attractive option in the second round.

Florida State's Duce Robinson is another receiver worth mentioning. He has a breakout season under his belt, with 53 catches for 1021 yards (19.3 YPC) and 6 TDs. His size (6'6", 222 lbs) and ability to make contested catches could make him an attractive option.

Stanford's Niki Prongos has caught the attention of Fran Duffy due to his unique background as a late-bloomer who didn't start playing football until high school. He has impressive athleticism, ideal size (6'7", 315 lbs), and has played three positions in college.

The Eagles are likely to address their cornerbacks with one of Cisse or another prospect available. Quarterbacks will be an area of focus for the team as well, given Tanner McKee's departure. LaNorris Sellers could be a tempting option if he falls to the end of the second round, but it remains uncertain whether he'll fit into the Eagles' quarterback depth chart.

Man, I'm so excited about the upcoming NFL draft 🤩! The Eagles need to find that next Jalen Hurts ASAP, and I think they have some solid options in the wings. LaNorris Sellers might be a bit of a risk, though - 6 INTs is crazy high for a QB with his size advantage 😬. But hey, if he's available in the second round, maybe it's worth taking a chance.

I'm really loving Brandon Cisse's soundness as a corner prospect 🤝. The dude's got cover skills for days and I can see him slinging it up to DeVonta Smith in no time. And Quincy Rhodes is an absolute beast on the edge - he needs to get more playing time ASAP ⚡️.

The Florida State receiver Duce Robinson, though... what a breakout season that guy had! 19.3 YPC? That's insane 🤯. He'd be a great addition to the Eagles' offense. And Stanford's Niki Prongos is an interesting prospect - I love his athleticism and unique background.

One thing that really got me thinking, though... how important is it for the Eagles to get a QB who can play on the fly? Like, with Jalen Hurts out, they need someone who can take charge and make plays. Not just chuck TDs 🤪. What's your take on this, guys?

🤔 so i'm watching this thread and i'm like what's up with la norris sellers? dude had 37 sacks last season 🤯 that's crazy for a QB. can't say he was accurate either 😐 if he's gonna be the backup to jalen hurts, they gotta make sure he's not gonna get eaten alive out there. plus, tanner mckee just left and now it's like who's gonna step up? 🤷‍♂️ maybe sellers falls to the 2nd round and they grab him, but i'm still skeptical 🤔

The Eagles need to find that next Jalen Hurts ASAP! 🚀 They can't rely on just one QB, especially with McKee gone. LaNorris Sellers has some sweet stats, but accuracy concerns hold him back... 11 TDs and 6 INTs? That's not exactly reassuring. 😬 Brandon Cisse could be a great CB pick, though - he's quick and agile! 🏃‍♂️ On the other hand, Quincy Rhodes is a solid pass-rusher choice with size and explosiveness on his side... 6'6" and 275 lbs? Boom! 👊 Niki Prongos has some crazy athleticism for a QB, but can he make it work in Philly? 🤔

I'm so sick of QBs who can't even throw a decent TD without 6 INTs lol 🤣 LaNorris Sellers sounds like a total mess on offense. Like, how do you go from throwing 11 TDs to 6 INTs? Did he just decide to hold onto the ball more or something? 🙄 And don't even get me started on Brandon Cisse, who's supposed to be some kinda corner prospect? Not buying it 🤑

🤔 I think the key here is that the Eagles are trying to find their next Jalen Hurts, which means they need someone with not only physical attributes but also leadership and intangibles. LaNorris Sellers has all the physical traits, but can he lead by example? 🤷‍♂️ And what about these other prospects like Cisse and Rhodes - are they just trying to fit the Eagles' system or do they have that special something that sets them apart? I mean, we've all been in situations where we're trying to fill a gap, but sometimes it's not just about talent, it's about character. Can you trust someone to make the right call under pressure? That's what this offseason is all about for me 💡

I don't get why they're so focused on this LaNorris Sellers kid. 11 TDs and 6 INTs in one season? That's not exactly a glowing resume. And what's with the size advantage thing? He's 6'3" but still manages to throw 37 sacks? Sounds like he's more of a liability than a asset 🤔

And have they even done their research on Brandon Cisse? I mean, sure, he sounds fast and has cover skills, but is that enough to justify taking him in the draft? Or are they just making assumptions based on rumors? Need some concrete evidence before I get excited about this guy 😒

I think they should really consider signing some backup QBs 🤔... like maybe a veteran QB who can help Jalen Hurts out? Someone with more experience would be awesome, you know? 💡

idk why ppl r so hyped about la norris sellers lol hes got a strong arm but can barely throw a complete game 🤣 what's wrong with jalen hurts already? the eagles should just stick w/ him and find another WR or corner to support him instead of wasting 1st round picks on QBs 🤷‍♂️

I'm not convinced about this QB draft talk 🤔. What's next? We gonna start relying on 6'3" guys with strong arms and size advantage over actual pocket passers? Sellers had a rough season, but you can't just ignore his stats 📊. And what's up with all these prospects from South Carolina? Can't they get their teams to win anything? 🤷‍♂️
