Can you name every footballer whose surname begins with A? Do you know who it was that cost Leicester City so much money? This is just the start of your challenge, as we take you through each letter of the alphabet to reveal the world's most expensive transfers.

so this football transfer thingy sounds like a bit of fun 😊. I mean, £81 million for N'Golo Kanté from Chelsea is crazy! I'm sure he's pretty good, but still... I was wondering who else could've cost that much? Like, did they just make up the numbers or what? 🤔

I think I know of a few footballers whose surname starts with A, like Aguero and Ambrosius, but I'm not entirely sure if those are correct. I'll have to fact-check later 👀.

It's interesting that Leicester City is at the top of this list so far. I wonder what other teams will make it into the top 10? 🤔

omg did u know i tried baking croissants last wkend and they turned out SO FLAKY 🥐😂 anyway back to football lol cant believe leicester city splurged so much cash on kante... that guy's a beast on the pitch! but omg what if i told u my sister just got tickets 2 see a concert of her fave band and she was SO excited 🎉😆 i dunno how much they paid for those tix tho lol anyway, back 2 the alphabet challenge 🤔 so like A is pretty easy - how about you know any other footballers whose surname starts w/ A?

🤗 I feel like I'm being put under a microscope over here... I mean, trying to remember all those football players whose surname starts with A is giving me a headache 😩. Like, what if I miss someone? But seriously, have you guys seen the prices of these transfers? £81 million for N'Golo Kanté from Chelsea? That's insane 💸! It makes sense why Leicester City went all out to sign him - he must be like a superstar midfielder or something ⭐️. Okay, okay, let me focus... A, right? I think I can handle this... there's Aguero, of course 😊, and also Aguas, but I'm not entirely sure if he was transferred at that price... Can someone help me out? 🤔

🤔 I'm gonna need some serious knowledge here... Alright, let me see... Starting with A, how about Axel Witsel? He played for Chelsea too 🏟️, and now he's at Real Betis. Not sure if that's the one they signed from Chelsea though, could be another one...

Moving on to B, I think it was Benfica who got Bruno Fernandes from Manchester United... or was it Man Utd who signed Boubakary Soumaïa from Lille? Hmm might need to brush up on my transfer history 😅. Can't forget about Benjamin Mendy, he played for Manchester City and Monaco.

C is looking good with Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid 🤩. D seems a bit tricky but I think it was Daniel Alves who moved from Barcelona to Bayern Munich... or was that Paris Saint-Germain? Ugh too many transfers in my head right now 😂. How about Diego Costa's compatriot, David N'Gog, who played for Liverpool and Galatasaray?

E is where things get tricky... Emre Can, anyone? No, just kidding, that was at Liverpool 🤣. I do know about Erling Haaland though, he's a Norwegian sensation playing for Manchester City.

F is where the fun begins! From what I can recall, Ferland Mendy played for Real Madrid and now Lyon, but didn't they also sign from Lille? 🤷‍♂️

G is looking good with Gareth Bale at Real Madrid... or was that Tottenham Hotspur? Hmm, got a bit confused there. Guess I'll just have to rely on my browser's search function for the rest of these letters 😊.

Let me know if any of this info is correct! 👍

Ugh, I'm getting frustrated thinking about all these big money deals 😩. First off, A should be easy peasy, right? Alright so there's Aguero, Ashley Young, Arteta... but what about some of the other guys like Amrabat or Andras Schösslocher? I mean, I know they're not as well known, but come on! It's just a bunch of random surnames.

And what's up with Leicester City and N'Golo Kanté? £81 million is insane! Did you see him play before they bought him? I thought he was just a decent midfielder... I guess you get what you pay for, I suppose 🤑. Anyway, moving on to B, C, D... this is gonna be a looong challenge 💥

omg I'm like totally clueless about this football stuff 🤔... I mean I knew they splashed out a lot on N'Golo Kanté from Chelsea, but £81 million is crazy! how much did he even play for them before coming to Leicester City? and umm can you list every footballer whose surname starts with A for me? like what about Aguero or something? that guy's still playing right?

I'm intrigued by this test, but I gotta say, £81 million for Kanté? That seems like a lot even for one of the best midfielders in the league... 🤔 What made Leicester City think they could get away with that price tag?

Okay, so if we're gonna start with A, let's see... How about Aguero? I'm pretty sure Manchester City bought him from Atlético Madrid for a record fee back in 2011. That was £38 million, right? No sources, just my memory failing me 🙃

I'm actually super stoked about this one 🤩! I mean, £81 million for N'Golo Kanté from Chelsea was crazy back in 2022 and now looking at all those transfer fees for different surnames starting with A is a fun challenge 😄.

So let me see... there's Aguero, who I think played for City too? And then theres Aguinaldo, that one's from the Philippines and played for clubs like Malaga and Villarreal. Oh and also Alaba, he's Austrian and had some big moves with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid 👊.

I'm loving this test of knowledge tho 💡! Not sure how I'll do on all 26 letters but it's definitely gonna be a fun ride 😆. Can't wait to see the rest of the alphabet...

"You can't hit a target you can't see." ⚽️ I'm loving this test of knowledge! It's all about putting our football expertise to the test and seeing how well we know our stuff. From A to Z, it's a journey through the world of football finance, and I'm excited to find out which players made the cut. Who knew Leicester City would be one of the first clubs to splurge on a new player? £81 million for N'Golo Kanté was quite a move!

omg i'm dyin over this 🤯 cant believe leicester city splurged £81m on kante lol what a genius signing btw i mean, cant argue with the results he's been a beast for them 😂👏 now lets get to the fun part... A is my fave letter and im gonna crush this one too easy peasy got all the footballers starting with A: Aguero, Arteta, Adam Johnson (sorry man, wasnt good enough), Adebayor... yeah i know alot of ppl are still stuck on this one lol

I'm intrigued by this concept, it seems like a fun way to test one's knowledge of football transfers 🤔. I mean, who wouldn't want to explore the intricacies of football finance? The fact that Leicester City splurged on N'Golo Kanté for £81 million is quite remarkable, and it raises questions about team dynamics and transfer strategy.

As I ponder this challenge, I find myself wondering which other players might fall under the letter A. Ah, yes! There's Aguero, of course – Sergio Agüero was reportedly worth around £150 million at one point in his career. And then there's Aaron Ramsey, who commanded a significant transfer fee during his time with Juventus.

It seems like this challenge could be a great opportunity to geek out over football stats and figure out which other players fit the bill. Bring on the alphabetical adventure!
