Frankie Capan III finishes T-3 in Bermuda, inching toward PGA Tour status

Frankie Capan III Seizes T-3 Finish at Bermuda Championship, Boosts Bid for PGA Tour Status

In a thrilling display of golfing prowess, 23-year-old Frankie Capan III secured the third-highest finish at the Bermuda Championship, a coveted spot that propels him ever closer to securing his place on the prestigious PGA Tour. The North Oaks native's impressive performance, which included a 1-under round of 70 in the final round, catapulted him up the season-long points list, moving him to No. 124 heading into next week's RSM Classic.

Capan's finish marks a significant step forward for the young golfer, who had previously been struggling to find consistency on the tour. His second top-six finish in his last four events has given him renewed hope of earning conditional status and securing a spot on the PGA Tour for next season.

While Capan still faces stiff competition from golfers already established on the tour, his improved play this fall has earned him a crucial boost of confidence. With eight-to-12 starts on offer to those in spots No. 101-125, Capan now sees a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel – a chance to prove himself and earn his place among the best.

The Bermuda Championship's win by Adam Schenk, who edged out Chandler Phillips by a single stroke via a par putt on the final hole, was the perfect foil to Capan's thrilling performance. With gusts swirling north of 40 MPH and wins hovering around 30 miles per hour, Sunday's weather conditions only added to the drama of the tournament.

Capan's remarkable finish has sparked renewed hope that he may yet secure his PGA Tour card for next season. The young golfer will undoubtedly be looking forward to the RSM Classic, where every shot counts in a bid to propel himself up the points list and secure his place among the top 100 golfers on tour.

omg I just had the craziest dream last night 🤯 I was like 500 ft in the air flying with my dog lol what's next for this Frankie Capan III dude? so he's gonna make it to PGA Tour status? that's wild 😲 my cousin plays golf and I think he'd die if his kid became a pro golfer idk how much practice you gotta put in though

Ugh, can't believe I have to scroll through all this golf mumbo jumbo 🤯. Honestly, who cares about some kid's golf game? I mean, I guess it's nice that he did well and got a boost of confidence and whatnot. But seriously, the article is so long and dry 😴... like, can't they just give me the CliffsNotes version already? 🤷‍♂️ And don't even get me started on how many times I have to refresh this page because it's taking forever to load 📊. Can't we just move at a faster pace around here?!

Ugh, like this guy's gonna make it big or what? He already had one decent finish, so now he's gonna magically rise to No. 124 overnight? I'm not buying it. He still has a long way to go before he even thinks about making the cut on that tour. And don't even get me started on those conditions at Bermuda - gusts of over 40 MPH? Are you kidding me? That's like, totally unfair. The guy who actually won, Adam Schenk, was just as good, maybe better, but did anyone give him the recognition he deserved? Nope, it's all about Frankie now... 🙄

awww man cant believe Frankie Capan III is crushing it out there 🙌🏻! hes been thru so much and now hes finally getting the recognition he deserves 💪. i think its amazing how far hes come and how confident he must feel playing like this 😎. those golfing conditions were crazy though, gusts of wind and rain and still he managed to hold his own 💨. shes got a real shot at making it onto the PGA tour now 🤞 and id be cheering her on all the way 🎉.

I'm loving Frankie Capan III's vibes right now 🤩! He's been working so hard on his game and it really paid off at the Bermuda Championship. I mean, 1-under in the final round? That's no joke! 😲 It's awesome to see him getting that boost of confidence and moving up the rankings. Now he's got a real shot at making that PGA Tour card for next season. Fingers crossed for Frankie 👍
