French senators say security at the Louvre is ‘not in line’ with modern standards and demand action

omg u can't believe they got away with that 😱 €102 million stolen in under 8 mins?! thats wild i dont think any museum of their caliber should be letting this happen its like a setup or somethin 🤔 i mean they're already spending €800 mil to renovate the whole place, might as well get the security right too 💸 and whats with not providing more info about the outdoor cameras? it sounds like they're hiding something 🤫 i hope the gov takes this seriously and steps up their game ASAP 👍

awww man!! 🤕 this is so not cool!!! 😱 i mean, the louvre is literally one of the most famous museums in the world and they're still using security that's like 20 years old? 🙄 it's just not safe for all those priceless artifacts! 💎 plus, that €800 million project is supposed to be a big deal, but if they can't even get the security right, how's anyone gonna trust that everything else is up to par? 🤔 i hope those senators are able to push through some real changes ASAP... this is just ridiculous!!! 😡

I mean, €800 million is a pretty penny to slap some new security cameras on 📸... I'm all for updating the Louvre, but let's get real, if they can't even keep up with thieves stealing millions in under 8 minutes, what's the point of upgrading? It feels like just another Band-Aid solution. They need to take a step back and assess their security protocols from scratch. And €933 million for the project is even more mind-boggling... that's like buying a private island 🌴

I feel so bad for those who got caught up in that huge jewel heist 🤦‍♂️. I mean, I know museums are supposed to be iconic and all, but security should always come first, you know? It's just a matter of prioritizing everyone's safety, especially since the Louvre gets so many visitors every year 😬.

I'm not sure what's more shocking, the fact that thieves could walk in and out with €88 million worth of jewels in under 8 minutes, or that it took the government this long to acknowledge the problem 🤯. But hey, at least there's some action being taken now, right? The Louvre New Renaissance project is a great idea, but I hope they can get those security upgrades done ASAP so nothing like this happens again 💪.

It's funny, I saw that video of the Mona Lisa when it was moved to its new gallery last year, and I just thought she looked so smug 😏. I guess even art legends need some protection from would-be thieves!

🤔 man, this whole thing got me thinking... what does it say about us as a society when we can't even keep something as iconic and revered as the Louvre's security up to date? It's like, we want the world to look at our museum and think "wow, that's so fancy and advanced"... but really, it's just an empty show if the foundation is crumbling beneath us. I mean, €800 million for a renovation project that's already behind schedule... does that sound like a smart investment to you? 🤑

I'm not surprised that the Louvre's security measures are outdated 🤔. I mean, think about it - all those priceless artworks and treasures on display for everyone to see? It's like a magnet for thieves! 😂 But seriously, I do hope the government takes this as an opportunity to revamp their security plans 🔄. €800 million is a huge sum of money, and if they can allocate some of that to upgrading their cameras and systems, it'll be a game-changer 🔒. The thought of the Mona Lisa having her own dedicated gallery by 2031? That's just too exciting 💫! Let's keep our fingers crossed that the renovation plans will be finished on time 🤞!
