Detroit's Movement Music Festival Announces Full Lineup for 2026 Event

The wait is over for music fans in Detroit and around the world. The full lineup for this year's Movement Music Festival has been revealed, featuring a diverse range of artists that will take to the stage at Hart Plaza over Memorial Day Weekend.

Headlining the festival are American DJ and producer Sara Landry and Australian DJ and producer Dom Dolla, who join previously announced headliner Carl Cox at the top of the bill. Other notable acts include The Dare, Boys Noize, Juan Atkins, Peezy, jessica Care moore, and many more.

Movement is set to celebrate its 20th year as a festival, with a lineup that showcases some of the biggest names in electronic music. Carl Cox, who will be returning for his third time at the festival, said he's "very grateful" to Paxahau and the Detroit electronic community for welcoming him back.

"It's one of my favorite festivals," Dolla added. "The history, the scope of performers, and range of people coming together from multiple generations and backgrounds, make it one of the most meaningful events to play."

This year's festival will feature a mix of established acts and emerging talent, ensuring that there's something for everyone at Movement 2026.

I've been to some festivals in my time, but there's something special about Movement that just draws you in. The energy is always electric and the crowd is so welcoming. It's amazing that Carl Cox is back for his third year, he's one of the legends of Detroit techno and it's awesome to see him still bringing the heat.

Ugh, another big music festival coming to Detroit 🤦‍♂️... I mean, who needs that many DJs playing at Hart Plaza? Can't they just have a smaller lineup with some of the actual good artists instead of all these lesser-known acts? Like, seriously, what's up with the number of "b2b" sets? It's just gonna be a bunch of guys setting up their laptops and messing around for hours 🤯. And don't even get me started on how much it's gonna cost to get tickets... Movement Music Festival is just another money-grabber 🤑. I swear, some of these festivals are more about the novelty than actually having great music.

The fact that Detroit is gonna be throwing one of the biggest electronic music festivals in the world over Memorial Day Weekend, kinda like how a strong economy can bring people together, right? I mean Movement Music Festival has been growing for 20 years now, and it shows they're not afraid to take risks. But at the same time, I'm curious if they're gonna let the festival's diversity get lost in the crowd. Like, are we seeing more representation of local artists alongside the big names?

It also got me thinking about what the city of Detroit can do with this momentum. Can we see some infrastructure development or community programs come out of this?
