Geese Bring Dark Energy to Saturday Night Live in Dazzling Debut.
The Brooklyn-based indie rock outfit took over Studio 8H on January 24, delivering a pair of haunting performances from their critically-acclaimed third album, Getting Killed. The late-night sketch comedy show was hosted by One Battle After Another star Teyana Taylor, who has received widespread critical acclaim for her performance in the Leonardo DiCaprio-led film and earned a best R&B album nomination for Escape Room ahead of the 2026 Grammy Awards.
For their debut on SNL, Geese brought their signature moody sound to the stage. Joined by touring keyboardist Sam Revaz, they played "Au Pays du Cocaine" ("In the Land of Cocaine"), the eighth track from Getting Killed, which explores themes of addiction and desperation. The song's dark energy was palpable as the band delivered a haunting performance that left the audience mesmerized.
Later in the show, Geese returned to Studio 8H for a stunning rendition of "Trinidad", another standout track from their album. Emily Green, the group's guitarist, echoed frontman Cameron Winter's sentiments about the making of Getting Killed, noting it was a "brute-force effort" until the very end.
The band is currently touring worldwide and will perform in Honolulu on January 31 before heading overseas, then returning to the US for the Treefort Music Festival in Boise, Idaho, in March. Geese also have several major festival appearances lined up, including Coachella, Governors Ball, and Bonnaroo.
With their debut on SNL under their belt, it's clear that Geese are a force to be reckoned with in the indie rock world. Their unique sound and energetic live performances have captured the attention of critics and fans alike, and they're sure to leave a lasting impression on audiences for years to come.
