Gordon McQueen death: Inquest finds heading 'likely' to have contributed to brain disease

heard this before, but its still shocking to think about what we're putting our brains through on the pitch lol ... 59 is way too young for a footballer to be struggling with neurological issues. i mean, i get it, its just part of the game and all that, but can't we find ways to make it safer? like, maybe limit the number of times they can head the ball or something? wouldnt that be better than risking long term damage? not saying its gonna change anything, but still think about our health and wellbeing every now and then. 😊

I'm not sure if the whole "no heading" rule would be a total game-changer 🤔... I mean, it's great that we're considering players' health, but at the same time, I don't want to see all those beautiful matches get ruined because of one little risk 💥. And what about the players who aren't even affected by it? It's like, why should they have to suffer just because some others might get a few brain cells scrambled 🤯... But at the same time, if it can help prevent something like this from happening to another player (RIP Gordon McQueen 💔), then yeah, I'm all for it 😊. Can't we just find a balance between safety and sportiness? 🏈

Football is like a ticking time bomb for your brain 🤯💀

Why can't they just use a robot goalkeeper or something?! 🤖🏈

Maybe we should all be wearing helmets on the pitch? 😂👒

I mean, can you believe how many of these pro football players are dyin' young? 59 is crazy, fam! 🤯 Gordon McQueen was just a former Scotland international, he didn't even get to live his life full, but now we're talkin' about changes to the rules 'cause it's like, his death serves as a reminder. And yeah, I feel for Jeff Astle too, West Bromwich Albion, what a club. The thing is, it's not just the players who are affected, their families and loved ones get to deal with this trauma. 🤕
