Grammy Award winners 2026: See the full list

The 68th Grammy Awards kicked off in Los Angeles, marking the beginning of a night that promises to be filled with music's greatest triumphs. For Trevor Noah, this is his sixth and final time as host for the main telecast. The evening started at the Peacock Theater where Darren Criss took center stage hosting the Premiere Ceremony alongside announcing the majority of the 96 Grammy categories prior to the primetime broadcast.

Among those nominated multiple times were Kendrick Lamar who leads the pack with a total of nine nods, including Album of the Year for his 2025 album GNX. Lady Gaga and Jack Antonoff followed closely behind, each earning seven nominations, alongside producer Cirkut. An interesting twist in this year's ceremony is the introduction of new categories such as Best Album Cover, while the traditional Best Country Album has been split into two – Best Contemporary Country Album and Best Traditional Country Album.

The lineup for tonight's performance includes a variety of popular artists including Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, and Clipse. Among those selected to perform in the medley segment are seven Best New Artist nominees, each eager to showcase their talents under the spotlight. Lauryn Hill will be paying tribute to music legends D'Angelo and Roberta Flack, while Reba McEntire, Brandy Clark, and Lukas Nelson will take part in an In Memoriam segment.

The full list of winners announced so far includes several major categories yet to be revealed later on this evening. Notably, Olivia Dean took home the award for Best New Artist, a nod to her rising popularity. Other notable wins include Lady Gaga's win for Best Pop Vocal Album and Jelly Roll's Best Contemporary Country Album.

In the rap category, Kendrick Lamar reigned supreme with his album GNX earning him the top spot in Best Rap Album. He also took home awards in Best Rap Song and Best Melodic Rap Performance. Clipse joined forces with Kendrick to take home the award for Best Rap Performance.

A diverse range of artists fared well in the R&B category, including Leon Thomas who won Best R&B Album for his album Mutt. Kehlani emerged victorious in Best R&B Song, while her performance also earned her the award for Best R&B Performance.

In the production and engineering realm, Cirkut took home awards for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical, and Best Remixed Recording alongside Lady Gaga's hit single "Abracadabra". Amy Allen secured the title of Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical, while Nordkraft Big Band earned an award for Instrumental Composition.

The alternative rock scene also had a presence at this year's ceremony. The Cure won awards in Best Alternative Music Album and Best Alternative Music Performance. Turnstile took home the prize for Best Rock Album, while Yungblud, Nuno Bettencourt & Frank Bello (ft. Adam Wakeman & II) earned recognition for their performance.

Global and World Music also made a name for themselves at this year's ceremony. Caetano Veloso & Maria Bethânia won Best Global Music Album for their album Caetano e Bethânia Ao Vivo, while Tyla emerged victorious in the African Music Performance category. Bad Bunny took home the award for Best Global Music Performance.

Lastly, the gospel and Christian music scene also had a presence at this year's ceremony. The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir won the award for Best Roots Gospel Album, while Israel & New Breed secured recognition for their album Coritos, Vol. 1.

As the night wears on, we'll see which artists ultimately take home the coveted Grammy Awards in various categories.

The whole intro is a total setup for what's gonna go down... and I'm predicting it's gonna be a major upset 🤯! Trevor Noah might think he's got this in the bag six times running, but honestly, the Grammys have never been about the host (trust me, I've done my research). The real battle is between Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga - both of them are going to give it their all, but only one can take home those coveted Album of the Year nods. And can we talk about the new categories? Best Album Cover? Really? 🤷‍♀️ At least they're mixing things up... kinda.

Also, what's with the split for Best Country Album? I mean, I get it, traditional country and contemporary country are different vibes, but it's just gonna cause more confusion. And don't even get me started on the performance lineup - all those talented artists are gonna bring the house down! But let's be real, some of these performances are gonna be way better than others 🤩.

And can someone please give Lauryn Hill a round of applause for that tribute to D'Angelo and Roberta Flack? The music industry needs more of that. I'm also keeping an eye on the songwriting category - Amy Allen is due for some serious recognition if she's gonna take home Songwriter of the Year 🎶.

One thing's for sure, this Grammy Awards show is gonna be one to remember!

What's up everybody 🤔. So like I was thinking about this Grammy Awards thing and it got me thinking about the state of our music industry. We've got so many talented artists out there competing for these awards, but what does it really mean? Is it just a popularity contest or is it truly an award for excellence?

And let's talk about these new categories like Best Album Cover... what's next? Are we gonna start voting on the cover art of albums too? 🎨 It's just another way to confuse people and make them question the integrity of the awards.

But in all seriousness, I'm glad to see so many diverse artists getting recognition for their work. From Kendrick Lamar to Lauryn Hill, these are people who are pushing boundaries and breaking rules. And that's what music is all about... innovation and creativity. 🎶

And can we talk about the politics of it all? Like, how do we even define "best" in this industry? Is it just a matter of personal taste or is there something more at play? I mean, I'm not saying anyone is corrupt or anything (coughs), but it's definitely interesting to see who gets nominated and who doesn't. 💸

omg i cant even wait for tonight!! 🤩 Kendrick Lamar is gonna destroy it with his album GNX 🎸 and i need to know who's gonna take home that Album of the Year award 😂 i'm also lowkey rooting for Lady Gaga, she slays every performance she does 💖 and that new Best Album Cover category? game changing 📚

omg can't believe kendrick lamar is leading the pack with 9 nominations 🤯 his gnx album is literally fire 🔥 and i love how they introduced new categories like best album cover 🎨 this year's ceremony is shaping up to be epic 💃 but why did they split traditional country album into two categories tho? 🤷‍♀️ and who else is excited for lauryn hill's tribute to d'angelo and roberta flack? 💕

man I'm thinking about how music has this way of bringing us all together right? like even though Kendrick Lamar is killing it with nine nominations and stuff, it's not just about him winning, it's about the entire community coming together to celebrate art and creativity 🎵👥. And can we talk about Lady Gaga for a sec? she's on fire this year, and it's not just because of her music (although, let's be real, that's a big part of it 😉). She's also breaking down barriers and pushing boundaries in ways that inspire us all to think outside the box. And have you seen the new categories they've added? Best Album Cover? that's like, so important for artists who are all about visual storytelling 📚🎨.

Ugh, it's just another year of these rich people thinking they're better than everyone else because of their music 🙄. Like, who cares about some album cover being the "best"? It's not like it's going to change anyone's life. And don't even get me started on the new categories – Best Album Cover? Are you serious? Can't they just stick to what matters, like actual art?

And have you seen the lineup for tonight? A bunch of overhyped artists thinking they're the next big thing 🤣. Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber are going to perform together? Please, they can barely sing in harmony with each other let alone a live audience. And what's up with all these performances featuring Best New Artist nominees? Are they trying to make it harder for them to win or something?

I'm just waiting for some of these artists to have a major meltdown on stage 🤦‍♀️. It'll be entertaining, that's for sure. Anyway, I guess we'll just have to wait and see who actually takes home the awards this year... maybe 🤑
