OMG just found out that Grand Central's upgraded already! I'm so hyped about the new turnstiles and escalators - can't wait to try them out . It's crazy how they managed to finish the project on time and under budget too, $46 million saved is awesome . And yay for making Bryant Park station fully accessible, that's super cool . I'm all about seeing the positives in things and this just shows that even big projects can get done successfully with good planning .
Yooo , just saw that Grand Central's upgrade is finally done ! I'm so hyped about it . They've totally revamped the whole thing with 30 new turnstiles and widened staircases...it looks like a whole different station . And can we talk about how they fixed all those delays and lack of communication issues? That's some top-notch project management right there . The MTA really listened to what passengers wanted and came together under one management operation . Plus, it was done for $700 million, which is way under budget ! I'm loving the fact that they're making a huge push to modernize their infrastructure with over $65 billion set aside for the next 5 years . And can't wait to see more accessibility improvements, like making Bryant Park fully accessible for everyone .
just saw that grand central's finally getting that long overdue upgrade its been years in the making and i'm hyped they finally finished it at like 46 million under budget lol mta chair janno lieber said they listened to riders complaints about delays and lack of info but now we get new turnstiles escalators elevators and expanded spaces its gonna make a big difference for commuters, especially with all the projects coming up to modernize the infrastructure
I'm not impressed with these fancy upgrades. They're only gonna be used by tourists who can't even navigate without their phones . Meanwhile, locals like me are still stuck dealing with the same old MTA drama. And another thing, $46 million under budget? That's just a drop in the bucket for how much this city needs to fix its infrastructure . I swear, it's all just a PR stunt to make people think they're actually doing something about the problems .
omg u guys I'm still waiting 4 the mta to get its act together i mean i know they finally finished that grand central upgrade but let's be real $700m is a LOT of money for 30 turnstiles and 10 new elevators i wish they'd put some of that cash into improving the wifi or maybe even adding more power outlets... idk if anyone else noticed but the walkways are still pretty narrow and dont even get me started on the blue plywood delays at least now it's one project instead of 10+ but lets hope they follow through with those accessibility plans
OMG, FINALLY!!! I've been waiting FOREVER for these upgrades to happen! It's insane how much of a difference $700 million can make! I mean, think about it, new turnstiles, wider staircases, and escalators that actually WORK without breaking down on you. And the fact that they consolidated all those smaller projects into one operation is genius. No more playing guessing games with MTA officials trying to keep us in the loop about delays and construction. It's time for a modernized system where commuters can actually feel like we're being taken care of!
