I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole thing...

So, apparently, the Justice Department is at it again, trying to railroad New York Attorney General Letitia James for the second time in just seven days. This time, they tried to refile new charges against her, but that grand jury just wouldn't bite

.
It's like they're playing a game of whack-a-mole, where no matter how many times they try to file new charges, the prosecution keeps getting dismissed due to procedural issues. I mean, who needs process and integrity when you can just make stuff up and hope nobody notices?
And let me get this straight - James was originally charged with one count of bank fraud and one count of making a false statement... but all these experts are saying the allegations against her are super thin on evidence. Like, what's the real story here? Is it just another case of Trump trying to smear someone because they're not playing ball with him?
The thing is, this whole saga has been marked by controversy from the start. Career prosecutors getting fired for questioning the viability of the charges... that's just a red flag, you know? And then we have the acting US Attorney, Lindsey Halligan, who gets found to be improperly appointed... it's like they're trying to rig the system or something.
I think what's really bothering me is that this whole thing feels like a classic case of "witch hunt". The Justice Department seems more interested in persecuting James than actually seeking justice. And now, with James' lawyers calling out the latest development as an "unprecedented rejection", I'm starting to see a pattern here...
