Haitian lawyers help families in need this holiday season in North Miami - WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports | Fort Lauderdale

A group of Haitian-American lawyers in North Miami have launched a unique initiative called "Lawyers Giving Back" to help their fellow community members in need this holiday season.

Five litigation attorneys came together, driven by empathy and gratitude towards the community that has provided them with opportunities. Recognizing that many families are struggling due to rising grocery prices, they decided to take matters into their own hands.

The program aims to support 100 Haitian families who have been laid off or require financial assistance. The lawyers will be giving away $100 gift cards to each of these families, enabling them to purchase a Thanksgiving meal for themselves and their loved ones.

Beatrice Cazeau, one of the attorneys involved in the campaign, expressed her understanding of the struggles faced by many in the community. "We do understand that people are hurting," she said. "The price of groceries has gone high, and so this is why we all came together to serve this community because this community has given us so much."

This heartwarming initiative not only provides financial relief but also serves as a reminder of the importance of giving back to those who have contributed positively to one's life. As the lawyers give back to their community, they are doing more than just handing out gifts - they are spreading love and kindness during the holiday season.

OMG, this is so inspiring ๐Ÿคฉ! It warms my heart to see a group of talented Haitian-American lawyers coming together to support their fellow community members in need. $100 gift cards might seem like a lot, but it's actually gonna make such a huge difference for 100 families who are struggling to make ends meet ๐Ÿ™Œ. I love how Beatrice said they're doing this because the community has given them so much - it's all about giving back and spreading love โค๏ธ. This Lawyers Giving Back initiative is literally changing lives and I'm obsessed!

omg i love this initiative ๐Ÿคฉ they're literally giving away 100 gift cards to families in need it's like a huge Thanksgiving surprise ๐Ÿฆƒ i feel so bad for those people struggling with high grocery prices, like how are they supposed to afford food? anyway i'm so inspired by these Haitian-American lawyers who are taking the time to help their community out โค๏ธ it's not just about handing out gifts, but about showing that they care and appreciate all the opportunities they've had. and isn't it amazing that they're spreading love and kindness during the holiday season? ๐ŸŽ„ i'm definitely donating to this initiative too, because who doesn't love a good feel-good story ๐Ÿ˜Š

I mean, I'm all for helping people out in need, but let's not get too caught up on this whole "giving" thing, ya know? ๐Ÿค” What's the real intention here? Are these lawyers just trying to curry favor with the community or is it genuinely about making a difference? They're giving away $100 gift cards - that's cute, I guess... but what about long-term solutions? Is this just a Band-Aid on a bigger problem?

And what about the logistics? How are they even going to distribute these gift cards without, like, creating more bureaucracy or something? It feels like a bunch of lawyers trying to solve a social issue with their own brand of "expertise". I mean, can't they just, like, donate the money directly to food banks or something instead of giving it out as gifts? ๐Ÿค‘

๐Ÿค• another group of people trying to help others is a good thing, but have you seen the state of the economy lately? inflation is through the roof and this $100 gift card for 100 families might not even cover their grocery bill this month ๐Ÿšฎ๐Ÿ’ธ
