A group of Haitian-American lawyers in North Miami have launched a unique initiative called "Lawyers Giving Back" to help their fellow community members in need this holiday season.
Five litigation attorneys came together, driven by empathy and gratitude towards the community that has provided them with opportunities. Recognizing that many families are struggling due to rising grocery prices, they decided to take matters into their own hands.
The program aims to support 100 Haitian families who have been laid off or require financial assistance. The lawyers will be giving away $100 gift cards to each of these families, enabling them to purchase a Thanksgiving meal for themselves and their loved ones.
Beatrice Cazeau, one of the attorneys involved in the campaign, expressed her understanding of the struggles faced by many in the community. "We do understand that people are hurting," she said. "The price of groceries has gone high, and so this is why we all came together to serve this community because this community has given us so much."
This heartwarming initiative not only provides financial relief but also serves as a reminder of the importance of giving back to those who have contributed positively to one's life. As the lawyers give back to their community, they are doing more than just handing out gifts - they are spreading love and kindness during the holiday season.
