Harry Wilson transfer news: Everton approach for Fulham midfielder rejected

Everton has had their approach for Fulham midfielder Harry Wilson rejected, the Toffees having made an offer for the 28-year-old in recent days. Despite being out of contract this summer and potentially leaving for free, Fulham is adamant on not selling him this month.

Head coach Marco Silva has also stated there's "zero chance" of Wilson being sold during the January transfer window, making it clear that they intend to keep him at Craven Cottage beyond the current term.

Wilson has become a key player for Fulham since joining on an initial loan deal from Liverpool in July 2021. Over this period, he has made 173 appearances, scoring 34 goals and providing 43 assists.

The club's focus on securing Wilson's future has been heightened due to ongoing contract talks which are currently stalled, with transfer interest creating uncertainty over his long-term stay at the club.

I'm not surprised Everton's offer was shot down 🙄. Fulham seems keen on retaining Wilson and I think it's a wise decision considering his importance to the team. He's developed into a vital cog in their midfield, providing creativity and goalscoring threat, as evident by his impressive stats 💡. Silva's stance is also reasonable, given Wilson's potential value could skyrocket if sold now. The fact that transfer interest has stalled contract talks only adds to the uncertainty 🤔. Perhaps Fulham should hold out for a more lucrative offer or consider a long-term deal to keep their star midfielder in house 🏠.

I'm loving how Fulham is sticking it out for Harry Wilson 🙌. I mean, he's had a pretty solid run since joining on loan and it's great that they're prioritizing keeping him around ⚽️. The fact that their approach to selling him got rejected by Everton tells you that Wilson's a fan favorite for sure 👍. It's also interesting how this is affecting his contract talks – gotta be frustrating for the player, but I guess stability is key in these situations 💼. Whoever ends up signing him, they'll definitely get a talented midfielder with a proven track record 🚀.

I feel bad for Everton, they're really trying hard to get Harry Wilson but Fulham is being super stubborn 🤔😒. I mean, 173 appearances and 34 goals from Wilson isn't something you just give up on easily ⚽️. But at the same time, I don't blame Fulham for not wanting to sell him, he's been a key player since joining 🙌. Maybe they should try negotiating better with Everton instead of playing hardball 💸?

Ugh, can't believe Everton thinks they stand a chance with Fulham 🤦‍♂️! I mean, Harry Wilson is basically the best player that's ever played for Fulham and they're just gonna let him walk away for free? It's crazy talk 💁‍♂️. Marco Silva must know something we don't if he's so adamant on keeping him 💡. I think it's time for Everton to up their game if they want a chance at signing him. 173 appearances and 34 goals isn't bad, but apparently Fulham thinks he's worth more 🤑.
