I'm so down for an exhibit about Rousseau's crazy art
! I mean, who wouldn't want to see some of his dreamy jungle landscapes and mystical portraits? The fact that he was a postal worker or bookstore clerk before becoming a painter is actually kinda inspiring - I love how you can take something mundane and turn it into a creative outlet
. And yeah, the way he created his own mythology around himself is pretty fascinating - who wouldn't want to be some sort of jungle explorer?
The fact that his art reflects the cultural context of his time is also interesting - I love how you can see the influence of industrialization and urbanization in his paintings. Overall, I think this exhibit is a must-see for anyone who loves art or is just looking for something new and thought-provoking
